What to Watch on TV: The Chi, Perry Mason, Doom Patrol
Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of June 21st! We’ll be sharing our picks for what to watch this week, from marathons to big guest spots, and significant episodes of TV to look forward to while stuck inside.
This week’s picks include the beginning of the end for Greenleaf, Perry Mason‘s debut, Doom Patrol‘s return, and more.

John Legend and Family: A Bigger Love Father’s Day – Sunday, June 21
John Legend is bringing the father’s day celebration to TV with musical performances, comedy, special guests, and heart as he honors fathers everywhere. John Legend and Family: A Bigger Love Father’s Day airs Sunday, June 21 at 8/7c on ABC.
Description: The evening will be a tribute to fathers everywhere and will blend live musical performances with some much-needed levity and touching moments, and plenty of surprises. John will perform new material from his highly anticipated new album, “Bigger Love,” due out June 19. Some of John’s celebrity friends, and fellow dads, will join him for a hilarious “Fatherly Feud” game. Chrissy Teigen, John’s wife and co-ruler of their little kingdom, will make sure viewers have the perfect gift for dad, in case they forgot. Additionally, John and Chrissy’s kids, Luna and Miles, are going to pamper their father in ways that only kids under age 5 can, and much more.
NOS4A2 – Sunday, June 21
The sophomore season kicks off 8 years later as Vic gets news about Charlie. NOS4A2 returns Sunday, June 21 at 10/9c on AMC.
Episode Description: Eight years on, Vic McQueen receives shocking news about Charlie Manx. Maggie consults her tiles at great risk. Bing hunts down the Wraith, but hits a roadblock. Millie Manx discovers a new aspect of Christmasland.
Perry Mason – Sunday, June 21

Starring Matthew Rhys as the iconic defense attorney, the series shows the origins of Perry Mason and begins with a kidnapping case. Perry Mason debuts Sunday, June 21 at 9/8c on HBO.
Episode Description: On the heels of an unsavory investigation involving a famous comedian, Perry Mason is hired to solve a perplexing case involving the brutal kidnapping of 1-year-old Charlie Dodson.
Eric Andre: Legalize Everything – Tuesday, June 23
Netflix’s latest comedy special will be Eric Andre’s Netflix stand-up debut as covers drugs, sex, and everything in between. Eric Andre: Legalize Everything drops Tuesday, June 23

Greenleaf – Tuesday, June 23
It’s the beginning of the end as the Greenleaf family deals with their crisis of faith and their futures in the face of losing their church. Greenleaf returns Tuesday, June 23 at 9/8c on OWN.

Transhood – Wednesday, June 24

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – Wednesday, June 24

Now that they’ve saved Agent Sousa, the team finds themselves in the 70’s and trying to stop the Chronicoms in a new era. But when the Chronicoms have something else cooking and the team gets too close, they find themselves dealing with an unexpected time situation. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Wednesday, June 24 at 10/9c on ABC.
Episode Description: After a bumpy landing in the disco decade, the team – Daniel Sousa in tow – reunites with more than one familiar face at the S.H.I.E.L.D. hangout and discovers exactly how to dismantle the Chronicoms’ latest plan. Search Party: Season 3 – Thursday, June 25
Dory and Drew are dealing with the trial for murder as their friends try to work through what it means an how they can help. Search Party: Season 3 premieres Thursday, June 25 on HBO Max.
Season Description: This season finds the gang swept up in the trial of the century after Dory and Drew are charged for the semi-accidental murder of a private investigator, and Elliott and Portia grapple with whether or not to testify as witnesses.
The Twilight Zone: Season 2 – Thursday, June 25
The scary anthology series is back for a new season of frights, eeriness, and fears with stories that will set viewers at ease. The Twilight Zone: Season 2 returns Thursday, June 25 on CBS All Access.
Burden of Truth – Thursday, June 25

Owen’s in danger, Joanna looks for another way to keep Kodie’s case afloat, and Billy follows a lead in the aftermath of all they’ve learned. What else will they uncover? Burden of Truth airs Thursday, June 25 at 8/7c on The CW.
