It’s anything but blue skies for the Pearsons as they celebrate Baby Jack’s first birthday under tense circumstances.
But it’s not all about the Pearsons and their family issues. On the season finale, This Is Us Season 4 Episode 18, “Strangers: Part Two,” will revisit the strangers that were an important fixture of the first half of this season — and noticeably absent from the second half.
After a season of exciting new connections, necessary character critiques, and very few missteps, the series is looking to leave a lasting impression with a finale of emotional fireworks and dense family drama.
So don’t let the sunny skies and birthday festivities fool you. Lines have been drawn, Randall and Kevin are preparing for war, and Jack Jr. may just prove the Pearson family is cursed once and for all.
This Is Us knows it’s not a proper Pearson party if there isn’t resentment of some kind present. But the series also knows it’s not a proper season if Dr. K doesn’t grace us with his presence at least once.
