Tracker Season 3 Episode 10 Review: The Fallout

Reviews, Tracker

Tracker‘s mid-season premiere is a gripping conclusion to the two-part storyline that begins with Keaton’s old partner, Nat Dobbs.

Picking up from the mid-season finale’s astonishing cliffhanger, Tracker Season 3 Episode 10, “The Fallout,” illustrates that the stakes are higher than ever since Colter is now on the run from authorities.

The episode is packed with jaw-dropping revelations, gut-wrenching moments, and heart-stopping action.

Keaton’s life continues to hang in the balance as Colter must run due to an unexpected development: law enforcement now views him as a suspect.

This new revelation further aligns with the idea that the police commissioner is deeply entrenched in corruption, setting the stage for several exciting plot twists.

It is a relief that Tracker pursues this narrative route, and it is so much more than anyone could have anticipated.

Colter does not discover the truth at once, but in little tidbits along the way that do not add up until the final missing piece.

Tracker effectively creates a compelling episode by introducing new questions every time Colter learns something. The show drops narrative bombshells right up to the very end of “The Fallout,” providing a thoroughly entertaining story.

However, Tracker rushes the final narrative leg to keep up with the one-storyline-per-episode trajectory.

While most of the show’s episodes work well with this format, sometimes the plot rushes through its conclusion, leaving it somewhat unsatisfying.

To be fair, it would be difficult to extend the narrative beyond “The Fallout,” but the ending would still have been more fulfilling if some narrative factors had slowed down — even if it means extending this storyline through the next episode.

Billie: I don’t think it’s a coincidence that so many people associated with that task force are ending up dead or kidnapped.

While Colter is on the run, his former colleague and occasional work rival, Billie, helps him evade the authorities.

Colter and Billie’s chemistry is absolute magic, always teasing the possibility of a potential romance between them.

It is unknown if Tracker will pursue this route, especially since Colter has several options. However, a romance between Colter and Billie would be incredibly thrilling.

Billie: She didn’t make it.
Colter: She was trying to make this all right.
Billie: Yeah, it won’t bring her back.

The million-dollar question on Tracker Season 3 Episode 10, “The Fallout,” involves Keaton as he fights for his life.

The show cleverly avoids resolving his fate right away because Colter has to leave him behind after calling for medical help. As Colter hunts down the truth, Keaton presses heavily on his mind, especially since he cannot make contact without giving up himself.

Tracker leaving Keaton’s fate ambiguous is another layer that contributes to this riveting storyline. Even when the episode ends, it is still unknown whether Keaton will survive, but now that he has successfully made it through surgery, the chances are much higher than before.

Another factor that strengthens this compelling episode involves how Tracker uses recurring characters intelligently.

Mel arrives at the office right after the FBI executes a search warrant in search of Colter. Her convenient timing certainly begs the question of whether she could be tipping off the commissioner or someone on the corrupt task force.

It turns out Mel has nothing to do with this case, but it is an excellent example of Tracker establishing suspicion and curiosity to keep audiences hooked.

Hopefully, Tracker continues to use these methods on future episodes.
