American Horror Story: 1984 Review: Episode 100 (Season 9 Episode 6)

American Horror Story, Reviews

After a 5-year time jump, The Nightstalker is seen wreaking havoc in LA, Brooke’s in jail, Jingles gets a piece of the life he always wanted, and Montana runs Camp Redwood along with Xavier on American Horror Story: 1984 Season 9 Episode 6, “Episode 100.”

This season has gone back and forth from being an on the rise favorite season to now, well, it’s above Freak Show for sure. Like I said in my previous article, I wish that instead of all the action going down without the children we’d gotten to see them work as camp counselors, at least for an episode.

My favorite part, hands down, is Jingles enjoying a life that he deserved to have. The life that was ripped away from him from Margaret. I know that he does have his fair share of skeletons in his closet, especially since he’s killed, multiple people. But, he would never have been in that position had it not been for torture and being told repeatedly that he was a murderer.

I don’t necessarily agree with serial killers getting redemption via not ever being caught, but it’s a nice moment to show that anyone can get redemption no matter what may have happened in the past.

I wish that he had gotten more time with his child and wife, but Satan doesn’t take rejection well. Speaking of which, I’m glad that even in her final moments Brooke still doesn’t accept The Nightstalker’s offer to be given life via Satan. If anyone survives this season I’m placing my bets on her.

The only reason Donna brings Brooke back to life has to be to study her and how she adapts to live outside after being locked up and ultimately murdered. I can’t think of any other reason why this psycho would want to save Brooke’s life after being the one to serve her on a platter for a serial killer.

The twist with Trevor being alive is juicy and I like it. He may be legally married to Margaret but he still has the ability to ruin her life if he can link up with the right person, and with Brooke back from the dead he may just get his chance.

At this point, I hope that Margaret dies at the hands of Xavier, Chet, Jingles, Brooke, and Trevor. With how gory this season has been I want her ending scene to be all of them standing around her taking turns stabbing her so she’s in pain before she dies. She’s ruined so many lives that that’s the least she deserves.

The Camp Redwood festival is going to be a bloody nightmare with Montana and Xavier running things in the afterlife. Every human who sets foot on the camp gets a knife to the chest and they’re about to have thousands of people show up just for their pleasure.

Surely they’ll play it smart and get a chance to get close enough to Margaret before she knows of their presence, but with how reckless they both are I don’t foresee that being the case.

I want an explanation as to why anyone who dies on Camp Redwood has their soul stuck to the ground and I don’t want it in the last five minutes of the finale. I want Brooke’s final task of the season to send Montana to hell where she belongs.

I don’t completely hate this season, but there’s been so many back and fourths that it’s hard to just enjoy. I obviously have things that I look forward to and want to happen, but I don’t think that it’s a season I would just casually sit and re-watch, like others.
