Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV! We’ll be sharing our picks of what to watch for the week, from new specials to big guest spots, and significant episodes of TV to look forward to.

This week’s picks include iZombie’s return, the Battle of Winterfell, Ms. Fisher’s spin-off, and more!

Here are our recommendations for what to watch on TV this week:

The Red Line – Sunday, April 28

Noah Wyle is returning to television with CBS’s new mini-series, The Red Line, a story that connects three vastly different families as they try to heal in the face of tragedy. The two-hour premiere of The Red Line airs Sunday, April 28 at 8/7c on CBS.

Episode Description: The Red Line is an eight-episode event series that follows three very different Chicago families as they journey toward hope and healing after a tragedy connects them all and causes them to question their assumptions about themselves and each other.

Just like that, the second season of American Gods is coming to an end and has Shadow cornered, forcing him to decide on what his next steps are in the aftermath of significant developments. What will he choose? American Gods airs Sunday, April 28 at 8/7c on Stars.

Episode Description: In the aftermath of Sweeney’s death, Wednesday has disappeared, and Shadow is tormented; those that remain witness the power of New Media as she is unleashed; the nation is in a state of panic brought on by Mr. World.

The Battle of Winterfell is upon us as the White Walkers approach Winterfell, and all of our favorites band together to defend the North. But will they succeed and make it out alive? Game of Thrones airs Sunday, April 28 at 9/8c on HBO.

Episode Description: As the Night King and his army of the dead arrive at the gates of Winterfell, the forces prepare to face the ultimate battle with the White Walkers, as Daenerys, Jon, Brienne, Jaime, and Ser Jorah must be able to defend it.

Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder MysteriesMonday, April 29

Ms. Fisher’s long-lost niece, Peregrine, is picking up where her aunt left off in the spin-off, Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries, as she dives into investigating murders in 1960s Melbourne. Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries premieres Monday, April 29 on Acorn TV.

Episode Description: In this spin-off to the wildly popular Australian mystery series, Phryne Fisher’s long-lost niece, Peregrine (Geraldine Hakewill, Wanted), decides to follow in her stylish footsteps as a lady detective for a new era. With the help of the handsome, straitlaced Detective James Steed (Joel Jackson, Peter Allen) and a group of accomplished women, Peregrine investigates murders in 1960s Melbourne.

With the prospect of a whole new world (literally), The 100 returns for a new season as everyone has to learn to navigate this new world that they quickly discover is more hostile to their arrival than imagined. The 100 returns Tuesday, April 30 at 9/8c on The CW.

Episode Description: Still reeling after receiving Monty’s message, a small group goes down to explore the mysterious new planet. Back on the Mothership, several members of Wonkru face the consequences of their decisions.

The Act – Wednesday, May 1

Gypsy’s fight continues as she tries to justify everything she’s done. Will she make it out alive? The Act’s season finale drops Wednesday, May 1 on Hulu.

Episode Description: Gypsy fights for her life by defending her actions, while Mel and Lacey realize that behind closed doors things were not always as they seemed.

iZombie – Thursday, May 2

It’s the beginning of the end for Liv and her team as iZombie kicks off its final season with one last batch of brains and zombie personalities for Liv to take on. Will everyone make it out of the final season alive? iZombie Season 5 premieres Thursday, May 2 at 8/7c on The CW.

Episode Description: While investigating a murder case in which there is no body or brain to eat, the only evidence Liv and Clive have to work with is a grainy video and a little bit of blood found at the crime scene; Blaine is up to his old tricks.

Dead to Me – Friday, May 3

Tuca & Bertie – Friday, May 3

From the creators of BoJack Horseman, comes a story about two bird women navigating life in the animated comedy, Tuca & Bertie. Of course, crazy antics ensue. Tuca & Bertie drops Friday, May 3 on Netflix.

Description: Two bird women — a carefree toucan and an anxious songbird — live in the same apartment building and share their lives in this animated comedy.
