The Magicians Review: All That Hard, Glossy Armor (Season 4 Episode 10)
The monster catches up with Penny, Quentin, and Julia, Zelda gets concrete proof about the library, and Margo saves a village on The Magicians Season 4 Episode 10, “All That Hard, Glossy Armor.”
Margo may be exiled from Fillory forever, but that doesn’t mean that her reign is over. Wherever Margo Hanson goes, she will lead and help people in need, no matter what she may think about herself, that’s who she is. She is as brave as they come and will continue to fight on.
Margo’s birthright toad turns out to be useful in other ways, and now she’s set for a minute. Margo envisioning her loved ones is the toad’s way of helping her feel safe while at the same time leading her to where she needs to go. It may be a trip, but in the end, it helps.

From the get the man and woman leaders of the village give off a weird vibe about the sand demons, especially when it’s being played off as women being the cause. It sucks that Margo sleeps with the big brute, even if he is a walking pile of sex because calling her a whore is crossing the line.
From now on the village gets to run under the rule of the women. They will no longer have to be silenced by the men and forced to keep their emotions in check while the men do whatever they want whenever they want.
I love that Margo is getting this journey to herself, even if she does hallucinate her friends because she needs to work through how she feels towards herself. But, I admire her strength and tenacity in letting it be known that she is still a king, even without the throne.

A throne doesn’t make a king; a king makes a throne. Margo is the full embodiment of leadership, courage, and persistence, and she doesn’t need Fillory to continue being the strong-willed person that she is.
Hopefully, with the truth about the sand coming to life, Margo can continue her quest with some help from them if needed.
It’s been a long time coming, but Zelda figuring out that Everett is a liar and backstabber is also a highlight from this episode. It’s time for her to stop being complacent with things and help take him down from the inside. Everett is everything Zelda hates, so even though he helped her through some tough times, she’s got to realize that some people don’t stay the same.

If Zelda can reverse the caps on the ambient magic flow and put things to how they’re supposed to be, she could potentially prevent a massive uprising from the hedge witches. All along she’s thought that there was pushback over nothing, but now her eyes are open to the wrongdoings of her organization.
With the monster on their heels, it’s going to be tough for Julia, Quentin, and Penny to kill him now. I don’t know how long they’ll be safe for because the monster will undoubtedly continue to look for them since he knows they have been working towards killing him.
Things could also potentially look very bad for Eliot because if the monster can’t get his revenge in person, he knows that killing Eliot’s body will hurt them horribly. I hope that they’re smart enough to figure things out.

What I hope happens is Julia finds her powers again and takes the monster down, while saving Eliot. I feel like she could be the key to everything.
