19 Funniest Moments from ‘Orange is the New Black’ Season 6 (continued)
11. CO Alvarez’s desire for friends

Alvarez is the most shunned of all of the Litchfield max staff — even by the inmates. He’s depicted as being somewhat antisocial and disliked by many, and even Flaca and Mendoza take advantage of his gullible nature on the radio show.
Alvarez, however, believes he’s funny and doesn’t understand why the other COs don’t like him. Out of all the male COs, he consistently delivers the most comedic content in Season 6.
12. Fig and Linda’s antics

With Linda’s new job as the SVP of MCC (now PolyCon!), she and Fig now have vastly different outlooks to their jobs. Linda is determined and ambitious, while Fig is jaded and sarcastic.
Together, the juxtaposition of their personalities becomes a sort of hilarious odd couple situation. They’re both smart and cunning individuals, yet together they clash and turn into comedic gold.
13. CO Copeland’s “positive outlook”

Copeland (typically called Ginger) is one of the more relaxed guards, considering herself a friendly CO who dishes out life advice to inmates and fellow guards. She swears by her positive outlook on life, often deadpanning lines about looking on the bright side of life, but often seems oblivious to the fact that the inmates are in prison.
14. Luscek’s aerobics class

After taking over the aerobics class during rec time when the VCR dies, Luscek carves out his own gag as the instructor of the class. He clearly has no idea what he’s doing and plays loud techno music during the class, which the inmates despise.
His dance moves aren’t the best either, making a fool of himself in front of the inmates. Thankfully, Mendoza steps in to help him improve the class, but not without the viewers’ deserved fair share of humor.
15. Blanca’s dirty talk

When talking with her husband during visitation, Blanca likes to talk dirty in Spanish, and the humor builds when her descriptions grow into strange and lavish sexual fantasies. In a way, it’s wholesome because she and her husband quite enjoy it. Nevertheless, it serves its comedic value and the English translations are priceless.
16. Mispronunciations and wordplay

Season 6 is littered with inmates speaking with various forms of wordplay and mispronunciations, which is both cute and funny. The well-read Adeola enjoys replacing figures of speech with the names of celebrities, such as “Charlize Theron” in place of “for each their own.”
At first glance, it’s very bizarre, but on second thought, it’s clever and strange enough to turn into something incredibly funny. The humor grows when Piper begins to use this and Adeola tells her to stop it because it’s “her thing.” Another amusing word replacement includes using different words instead of “vendetta” such as “veranda” — because it seems like many of the inmates have no idea what “vendetta” means.
17. CO Dixon third-wheeling the road trip

On Orange is the New Black Season 6 Episode 2, “Shitstorm Coming,” and Orange is the New Black Season 6 Episode 4, “I’m the Talking Ass,” when Coates and Doggett take their road trip, Dixon drags himself in and completely screws with their plans. However, as he tortures the other two with his obnoxious presence, he delights the viewer with his antics and nagging.
He’s lighthearted and immature, from picking Halloween costumes as a disguise for Doggett to wanting to get to the amusement park on time — and it’s extraordinarily humorous.
