Lucy and Wyatt in NBC’s Timeless Season 1, “Last Ride of Bonnie and Clyde.”

Wyatt and Lucy shippers rejoice!

Not only do the time travelers share a kiss while pretending to be bank robbers hiding out with Bonnie and Clyde on Timeless Season 1 Episode 9, “Last Ride of Bonnie and Clyde,” but they look really good while doing it. Both the color and style of Lucy’s dress are gorgeous. Plus the shoes are to die for!

Wyatt, of course, looks movie-star handsome in his suit and hat.

The best part of these looks is that as Lucy and Wyatt’s evening in the hideout progresses, we see their dress become more relaxed. Wyatt takes off his coat, Lucy unties her dress knot. It is a nice way to visually show the two characters growing closer and more intimate with one another.

14. Lucy’s 1780 Jacket and Petticoat

Lucy in NBC’s Timeless Season 1, “The Capture of Benedict Arnold.”

This is another favorite of Lucy’s costumes in Season 1.

Typically depictions of this period include dresses similar in style to what Mrs. Benedict Arnold is wearing earlier on Timeless Season 1 Episode 10, “The Capture of Benedict Arnold,” but Lucy’s jacket and quilted petticoat are a better representation of regular (read: not super wealthy) people’s everyday clothing.

While Lucy’s outfit is pretty accurate, her hair is very wrong.

Not only is it a very modern layered cut, but women during this period would wear their hair up. If they were outside, they’d most likely also have a head covering of some kind. Also, Lucy is sporting a pretty bright shade of pink lipstick for 1780.

It is a head-scratcher. Why get the clothing so right and then get it so wrong on the hair and makeup?

15. Lucy’s 1893 Costume

Another solid effort on the costume on Timeless Season 1 Episode 11, “The World’s Columbian Exposition.”

Though it is difficult to see, the subtle striping in the fabric is very pretty. The dark red color also works well for an episode that includes both a serial killer and a character being trapped in a person-sized furnace.

Lucy’s hair seems a little off, but at least it’s up this time!

17. Lucy’s 1882 Western Coat

Everyone knows if a character puts on a long coat in a tv show or movie they immediately become more badass. Lucy is no exception on Timeless Season 1 Episode 12, “The Murder of Jesse James,” even though her air of toughness is quickly undercut by her inability to get on her horse.

The hair is, again, really inaccurate. Much too modern for the period.

18. Rufus and Wyatt’s 1983 Outfits

Full disclosure: I am a child of the 80s. Seeing Rufus’ rolled up sleeves and Wyatt’s powder blue Members Only jacket on Timeless Season 1 Episode 13, “Karma Chameleon,” gives me nostalgic chills, so these two looks are definitely Season 1 favorites.

Really everything in this episode does a great job of bringing the period back to life: the set, the music, and the hairstyles. Plus, Rufus being distracted by 80s television and arcade games makes for a fun time.
