13. Life Sentence

Life Sentence The CW

Lucy Hale returns to television on The CW’s Life Sentence as Stella who has been living her life “like she was dying” due to her terminal cancer diagnosis. However, after she surprisingly gets cured she is forced to deal with all of the decisions she made while sick.

Hale is extremely charming, which is why we’re so excited to give this one a chance. She is also incredibly stylish, both on and off screen, so hopefully Stella will provide us with some amazing fashion inspiration.

After screening the premiere, we can share that you’ll instantly fall in love with Stella and her dysfunctional family. There’s definitely a lot of family drama, so buckle up!

Updated: Life Sentence premieres Wednesday, March 7th at 9/8c on The CW.

14. Shadowhunters

Shadowhunters Season 2 left us with quite a few questions. We’re curious to see where things go with Simon and the Seelie queen. She has a weird interest in him, and, unfortunately, that can only mean bad news.

However, our biggest hope for Shadowhunters is the continued happiness of: Magnus/Alec. They proved in Shadowhunters Season 2 that nothing will keep them apart for long, but the coming problems with Valentine and Jonathan could test that even more.

Shadowhunters Season 3 premieres Tuesday, March 20 at 8/7c on Freeform.

9-1-1 Pilot Episode
9-1-1: L-R: Peter Krause and Oliver Stark in the series premiere episode of 9-1-1 airing Wednesday, Jan 3 (9:00-10:00PM ET/PT) on FOX. CR: FOX. © 2018 FOX Broadcasting.

This hot new show not only boasts a killer production team (Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk; the guys who gave us American Horror Story) but also a stellar cast.

With what looks to be a good mix of firefighters, police, and 911 operators (think NBC’s Chicago shows mixed with behind the scenes work), this show is bound to leave us breathless every week.

It’ll be interesting to see how well it stands up against similar shows on primetime.

9-1-1 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on FOX. Be sure to check out our review of the premiere!

16. Roseanne
ROSEANNE
ROSEANNE – ABC’s “Roseanne” stars Michael Fishman as DJ Conner, Sara Gilbert as Darlene Conner, Roseanne Barr as Roseanne Conner, Alicia Goranson as Becky Conner, John Goodman as Dan Conner and Laurie Metcalf as Jackie Harris. (ABC/Dan Watson)

The ’90s was a time that most young TV watchers today look back on fondly.

One of the greatest family sitcoms of that time was Roseanne. She was a working class mom who said and did whatever she wanted.

In current times a return to this family seems like the perfect, refreshing escape. It’s even better that the original cast are all on board. What HAVE those Conner’s been up to since the ’90s?

Roseanne premieres Tuesday, March 22 at 8/7c on ABC.

17. Splitting Up Together
JENNA FISCHER, OLIVER HUDSON
SPLITTING UP TOGETHER – “Pilot” – ABC/Eric McCandless

After twelve years of marriage, Lena and Martin decide to split up — but there’s a catch. They’re still going to live in the same house. What they’ll find, though, is that maybe taking the time apart was just what they needed to fix their marriage.

This unique comedy, which is based on the Danish series of the same name, looks to be as hilarious as it is endearing, and we can’t freakin’ wait.

Fans of The Office will be especially excited to see Jenna Fischer starring as Lena, and fans of Scream Queens will recognize Oliver Hudson as Martin. Oh, and this series comes from executive producer Ellen Degeneres along with Emily Kapnek.

18. Altered Carbon

We’re suckers for great sci-fi shows, and Altered Carbon looks like it’s going to be our next obsession.

It’s giving us major Dollhouse vibes, which could be because people’s consciousness can be moved from body to body, or it could be because Dichen Lachman stars in it.

Another reason to be excited is Renée Elise Goldsberry (Angelica from Hamilton) is also in it. The series has an impressive cast as well as an intriguing premise. All of these factors have guaranteed that we will be glued to our couches as soon as the series premieres.

Altered Carbon Season 1 drops on Netflix on February 2.
