7. Malese Jow
After breaking out on Nickelodeon, Malese Jow has strung together a series of impressive television roles. Inhabiting several interesting worlds including vampires and superheroes, the actress has racked up quite a few fantasy/supernatural roles, including most her recent role on The Shannara Chronicles.
Jow is ready to stand at the front of a project.
8. Maddie Hasson
Maddie Hasson made quite the splash as the young troublemaker, Willa, on The Finder. It was an impressive yet short-lived run that left an impression, which she followed up with ABC Family thriller Twisted.
Hasson is a dynamic young talent who would play a darker version of Sabrina very well. That is if her upcoming YouTube show Impulse doesn’t get in the way.
9. Victoria Justice
Netflix’s Sabrina will be darker than the witch viewers of the character’s other shows are used to, and that’s something Victoria Justice is capable of.
Justice was the lead of MTV’s series Eye Candy, a show that dove into darker fare. The show ended quickly, but Justice was a solid leading lady and she’d be a good choice for the popular Greendale witch.
10. Zoey Deutch
Zoey Deutch has appeared in several films over the last couple of years, but avid CW viewers, or Sarah Michelle Gellar fans, will remember her from Ringer.
Netflix’s shorter seasons and the high-profile gig may be enough to bring Deutch back to television. She should be considered because she is no stranger to tough roles, very talented and captivating on screen.
11. Jessica Sula
Jessica Sula’s Grace Blood was the best part of UK series Skin’s third generation and since then has made the leap to American television.
She will next be seen on the upcoming third season of Scream, but the series is anthology and would probably not keep Sula from Netflix. The actress is an eclectic and unique actress and would be an inspired choice for Sabrina.
12. Kathryn Newton
Kathryn Newton is a young actress on the rise. Supernatural viewers have seen the actress’ talent as aspiring hunter Claire Novak for years.
In the last year, she appeared on Big Little Lies and landed female lead in upcoming film Pokémon’s Detective Pikachu. A relative newcomer with momentum would make a great choice to play Sabrina…that is if starring on Wayward Sisters doesn’t get in the way.

Alamin is an aspiring writer, social media editor, and television enthusiast. While he has been a TV fan since the days of Martin, Living Single, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer, the introduction of Netflix and a rewatch of Grey's Anatomy kick things into high gear.
