Good Behavior Review: I Want You To Leave A Person Alive For Once (Season 2 Episode 2)
On Good Behavior Season 2 Episode 2, “I Want You To Leave A Person Alive For Once” Letty and Javier solve a big problem. Problem is, it’s only one of their problems.
Letty’s hard work pays off because Jacob gets an interview at a school, but she’ll have to bring a check for nearly $20,000 to that interview. $20,000 they do not have.
Javier decides to take a job to pay for it, but lies to Letty by saying he is going camping. What’s striking about Javier’s actions is how he lies. Saying it’s the annual camping trip for the anniversary of his brother’s death is dark, even for Javier. Also, it turns out it’s a bad lie.
This particular lie falls apart after a quick conversation between Letty and Javier’s sister Ava. It was nice to see Ava again though, especially in a scene where’s she isn’t arguing with Javier.
Letty quickly heads to the campsite to stop Javier from killing his latest target Bryce. She’s followed by Caren, Jacob, and Apple. All of this making the camping trip where Javier tries to kill a man quite complicated.

This trip gives us another round of Letty and Javier arguing about their lines of work. It’s draining having to listen to this same old argument.
Javier kills people, and Letty wants him to stop. It’s getting old, especially since Javier’s has two jobs and Letty keeps stealing with no plan for a life without crime.
When it comes to Jacob, Letty is doing everything she can to make his life great and safe, except for finding a way to support them. Javier’s plan may be illegal, violent, and awful, but it’s a plan.
However, Javier’s comment that he should be the one to bring home the money while Letty’s at home deserved a slap in the face.
Letty teaming up with Javier would make them successful. Letty understands people and how to manipulate them, which she could use to set up targets for Javier.
What is brilliant about the camping trip is Caren. Although bringing the kids is quite ridiculous, she brings her wacky, vibrant energy to another episode. She’s such a fun addition to the series. Somehow her odd energy mixes well with the strange lives Javier and Letty lead.

Caren’s antics also bring about a small but powerful moment for Letty. When Letty is offered drugs by her new friend she contemplates it, but then looks at Jacob. She makes the choice to get high again.
With everyone literally sitting around a campfire, Letty and Javier make their move on Bryce. His life is in the balance, but this fun and inappropriate game showcases the two leads at their best. The playful energy and dark reality puts the duo in a world of their own, even if they are around many people.
Bryce brings with him the most frustrating part of the episode. Javier mentions that his target is a rapist to get Letty on board and by extension lessening the fact he intends to kill him. It’s the reason Letty finally lets Javier finish the job.
Javier makes the valid point earlier on that he was a hitman when Letty met him, and he has no problem doing it and will continue to do it in order support the family. The odd justification for why this time it’s okay in order to make it better is unnecessary.

Speaking of criminal activity, Jacob shows that he may have a bit more of Letty in him than anyone thought. Apple, the interloper, sees Javier let Bryce fall to his death. Jacob channels his mother in order to convince his new friend that she misunderstood what she saw.
Jacob watches his mother scheme and lie, and it seems like she’s rubbing off on him. The concern is Javier’s life is a lot darker, so how much of that will young Jacob take on board?
What did you think of this episode of Good Behavior? Is Jacob going to school with Apple going to make everything worse? Is Teo the one who killed Silk and tried to kill Javier? What kind of trouble will Letty and Javier get into next time?
