Even if you are not a fan of country music, I bet you can appreciate an extremely well-curated soundtrack!

12. Rachel Bilson

Like many, I fell in love with Rachel Bilson while The O.C. was airing, which is why I was extremely excited about Hart of Dixie the moment I heard about it.

Rachel Bilson is extremely funny and sweet, but can also be serious when needed. She really is the heart of Hart of Dixie, and I cannot imagine the show without her.

13. It goes beyond the tropes

While at the beginning of the show the characters start from quite well-defined tropes (the new girl, the uptight mean girl, etc.), as the show develops the characters start to grow out of these starting positions.

14. Interesting and varied group of supporting characters

For the last time I have to make a connection between Hart of Dixie and Gilmore Girls.Like the latter, the former is filled with interesting supporting characters who mostly add laughs to the show.

There’s, for example, Dash DeWitt, the culture expert of Bluebell who loves films, theatre, and culture, and blogs about the events of Bluebell. There are also characters like Rose and AnnaBeth who start as supporting characters but eventually evolve into the main cast. AnnaBeth’s struggles and triumphs with independence and relationships are really interesting to follow.

15. It is generally a feel good kind of show

If nothing else catches your attention from this list, I hope this last entry does! At the end of the day, what makes Hart of Dixie worth a watch is that good, entertained feeling it manages to give from one episode to the next.
