We caught up with Teen Wolf’s Colton Haynes at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about the return of Jackson Whittemore to Beacon Hills, what happens when he finds out about Lydia and Stiles, and that look he gave that guy in the hallway.

Jackson left Teen Wolf just as he was starting to come to terms with who he was and where he belonged. His return in the trailer showed us a stronger Jackson who was more sure of himself.

“Jackson took a bunch of time off. That’s very helpful in life. And he’s come back and he’s still…everybody’s type,” Haynes said.

Talking about being everyone’s type, when asked about the look he gave that other guy in the hallway when he entered Beacon Hills with Ethan, Haynes wasn’t shy about it.

“He gave me a sexy look. I gave the girl a sexy look and then it was the guy. I’m sure that could lead to more awkward scenes, coming up. A lot more awkward scenes, I’ll say that. He’s spreading the love.”

Then there’s Lydia and Stiles.

For the longest time, Jackson dated Lydia. His return to Beacon Hills means that he’s going to discover that things have gotten more serious between them and that Stydia has risen.

“It’s so awkward. It’s awkward because for one, we’re all just awkward people in general. And we laughed through the whole time, through that scene,” Haynes admitted.

“That weird dynamic between the three of them, and then all these years have passed by. So that makes for some very fun scenes.”

Lyra is a TV and movie enthusiast. It all started on a dark night when she turned on Fox and fell in love with the X-Files. It was all history after that as she got lost in Doctor Who, The Marvel Verse and most recently everything DC. Her love for Doctor Who lead her to study abroad, where she fell into live-tweeting and the lovely explosion of fandom life that Tumblr is. Her main love for the summer (with a mega re-watch happening) is Arrow. When she isn’t sharing her love for TV and movies she’s writing fan-fiction, taking care of her family, and puttering around her kitchen.
