Suits: Top Moments from “Quid Pro Quo” (Season 6 Episode 15)

Reviews, Suits

It might actually happen. Mike might actually become a lawyer.

Of course, to do so in a way that’s completely legal? That’s not possible.

On Suits Season 6 Episode 15, “Quid Pro Quo,” Mike walks a line between trying to do the right thing for a case and doing what he needs to for his own career. Meanwhile, Donna is awesome, as usual, and a product coming down the line will let more people experience her wit and her compassion.

Here are a few of the best moments from “Quid Pro Quo.”

1. “No one’s ever holding all the cards.”

Harvey doesn’t feel defeated for long. It often seems like Harvey wants Mike to be a lawyer more than Mike wants Mike to be a lawyer, and all it takes is a brief conversation with Donna for Harvey to decide to go behind Mike’s back to make that happen.

As usual, he’s not afraid to take a risk when he believes he’s making the choice.

2. “There’s nothing to tell.”

Mike tells Oliver he pulled his application to the Bar. Even though Mike’s self-sacrifice kind of makes me want to bang my head against a wall, it’s a big deal that he does it to help people who have such a need — and who have been wronged in such an awful way. As a bonus, that kind of action from Mike seems inspiring to Oliver, who might just turn out to be a kick ass lawyer.

3. Michelle Ross.

Rachel getting on board for a scheme with Harvey is great in and of itself, but when she confronts Ms. Cromwell? Rachel puts that woman in her place fast, and it’s awesome.

4. “I did it for you.”

Mike is angry when he learns Rachel went behind his back for the aforementioned scheme, but she shuts him down in the best possible way.

Rachel: How about focusing on the fact that I did it for you?

She goes on to say she knows Mike is meant to be a lawyer, and that she doesn’t want to see that look on his face for the rest of their lives.

5. Louis gets advice from Rachel.

Donna isn’t he only one who knows how to give advice around here. Louis goes to Rachel in this specific case, who offers Louis the right advice about telling the Tara the truth — even though that advice seems to backfire.

6. Donna shows a vulnerable side.

I’m as surprised as you are that those jerks don’t love Donna’s presentation, and a big part of that has to do with Donna’s confidence. It’s not a fun moment to see her heart break as she overhears them talking afterward, but it’s an important one.

7. Palmer pays up.

Harvey and Mike visit Palmer with the proof they need to get him to pay a proper settlement to the miners and to re-instate the deal with Seidel. There’s nothing quite like seeing Mike and Harvey put someone in their place like this.

Harvey: Once it’s signed, I never want to hear your shitty little company doing something like this again.

8. Seidel agrees to get Mike into the Bar.

Mike convinces to Seidel to pull some strings yet again thanks to the dirt he and Harvey have on Palmer. It seems like a win win for everyone, but something tells me that won’t last.

9. Stu invests in The Donna.

Donna returns to Stu after realizing that other companies aren’t going to be so quick to invest after all, but more importantly, she realizes she wants to work with someone who respects her. Stu is more than willing to put his offer back on the table.

Donna: Even though I didn’t like your terms, you spoke to me as an equal and you treated me with respect, and that’s the kind of person I want to be in business with.

10.  “You really are like me, aren’t you?”

Harvey and Mike have a drink and talk about their successful plan and Mike’s future as an actual lawyer. Harvey seems proud, not just because his protegé will be practicing law again, but also because he fought so hard to help people who needed it.

Harvey: The world’s going to be a better place with you as a lawyer.
