16. Normero at the Winter Festival (Bates Motel)
We love when a good ship finally comes together, even if we know it’s doomed from the start. Romero broke through Norma’s barriers, and they got to enjoy one pure and genuine romantic moment.
At the town’s Winter Festival, Romero bought her a funnel cake, they sipped hot toddies, and slow danced amidst twinkling lights, convincing themselves that everything would be okay.
Of course, it didn’t at all wind up being okay. But tragic ‘ships are sorta the best ‘ships, aren’t they?
17. Jatie’s shower scene (Containment)
Jake and Katie had chemistry to spare. Said chemistry simmered, untapped, all season long – because no one inside the cordon on Containment was allowed to touch one another, for fear of spreading the deadly virus.
Jatie was doomed from the start, but their one intimate moment in the showers was scorching hot. The sexual tension was unreal.
This moment even got a callback during Katie’s death scene, when it took on a heartbreaking turn, as a dying Katie imagined pulling back the curtain and truly touching her would-be love. It almost made us forget that they were actually putting their mouths on that probably germ-filled shower curtain.
18. Harvey and Donna hold hands (Suits)
It was a subtle moment, but a powerful one. Jessica’s announcement that she was leaving Pearson Specter Litt on Suits left Harvey feeling devastated and speechless.
Luckily, he had Donna to stand by his side in silence, and the two reached for each others’ hands at the exact same moment — a satisfying, hopeful moment for Darvey shippers everywhere.
