Our 18 Favorite Ship Moments, In Honor Of Valentine’s Day
11. Sanvers’ first kiss (Supergirl)

The gradual realization of Alex Danvers that she is a lesbian has easily been the very best part of Supergirl‘s second season. Handled with poise and tons of care, Alex’s story has been incredibly important to legions of LGBT viewers.
Even better, Maggie Sawyer, on her own, is so much more than just a mere love interest. Hell, Alex’s love life is far more compelling than Kara’s is, at the moment – and Kara is the title character.
Having initially rejected Alex because she didn’t want to date someone who had so recently come out, this moment found Maggie acknowledging her own feelings for Alex. Her “Kiss the girls you want to kiss” speech will go down in ‘shipper history as an all-time best, that’s for sure.
12. Jane and Michael get married (Jane the Virgin)

For those of us still deep in mourning over the events of last week’s Jane the Virgin, let’s look back on happier times. For instance, the beautiful and perfect wedding of Michael Cordero and Jane Villanueva, following their overcoming of every imaginable obstacle to be together.
The entire wedding episode was lovely, but it was Michael’s vows to Jane – delivered in Spanish – that really put this over the top and made it one of the most romantic TV moments of all time.
13. Kabby’s first kiss (The 100)

These two just recently had sex for the first time, but it’s their first kiss that really had fans talking (and by talking, we mean “excited squeeing”).
There’s never much time for pure romance on The 100. That’s why it was so, so satisfying to see Kane take a second to plant a big, passionate smooch on Abby while he was fleeing Arkadia. That urgency – it had to happen right then – paired with their long-simmering sexual tension made this a very memorable ‘ship moment.
14. Fitzsimmons’ first time (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)

Fitz and Simmons had long been best friends with hints of something more in their future. However something always seemed to come between them whether it was Jemma getting trapped to another planet or Fitz’s fear of them being “cursed.
Finally though it all boiled over in one magical Agents of SHIELD scene where Jemma and Fitz decided to throw caution to the wind and let themselves be together. This led to them consummating their relationship after a nerve-wracking mission.
It’s heartwarming seeing Fitz and Simmons being happy together in a solid relationship that hasn’t changed either of them and only made them stronger together.
15. Luke and Lorelai’s wedding (Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life)

IT FINALLY HAPPENED, GUYS.
The Gilmore Girls Netflix revival had its issues – specifically, with Rory’s love life – but Lorelai and her longtime love Luke finally getting married was wonderfully romantic.
The sweet, low-key wedding in the middle of the night, with only their closest friends and family in attendance, was “Fall’s’ best moment and one of the best ‘ship moments of the year.
