Teen Wolf Review: Relics (Season 6 Episode 4)

Reviews, Teen Wolf

Nothing says endgame like Lydia seeing no possibility where Stiles isn’t real on Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 4, “Relics.”

Now, this isn’t Lydia just following a lead, hunch, or setting out to destroy the Ghost Riders. This is something more personal.

There is something inside of her telling, no yelling at her, that something is missing. Stiles, a man she does not remember, is a part of her and she knows it despite not remembering him.

With the combined powers of her and her mom, there’s no doubt that they’ll find the one relic most connected to Stiles, his jeep.

Stiles and his baby have gone through more than normal friends, family members, or loved ones have, and the bond between them is so visceral that one is never far from the other.

It’s the linchpin of it all.

Claudia is a whole other story. I don’t trust her at all. Her presence is too convenient and the way that she grabs Lydia is a big no!

Wouldn’t you want to know about the person that’s missing from your life? Wouldn’t you want to discover if you had a son? And that he’s been taking away from you?

As much as it hurts to say this, Claudia cannot be real. She is nothing but an illusion to lock away the Sheriff’s mind and make sure that he doesn’t remember his son or the beautiful bond that they had.

On the off-chance that Claudia is real we have to question and redefine the power of the Ghost Riders. Bringing back the dead can change the scope of Teen Wolf and open doors to the return of whomever they please.

Imagine if Allison comes back? Or the Hales?

The sky’s the limit if the Ghost Riders have the power to bring back someone whose been dead for 10 years.

Sooner or later, Lydia is doing to find some sort of clue that points her to the fact that Claudia isn’t real. She’s already on her way with the hospital finds and will help tip the Sheriff over into believing that Stiles is real.

Scott admitting/giving in on the possibility that Stiles isn’t real feels like a step in the wrong direction and makes no sense. The Sheriff is having dreams and waking moments where Stiles is real and Lydia zoned out and wrote his name.

Stiles is real and we don’t want him to give up on his best friend.

Losing a bunch of people you swore to protect can be a little disconcerting, well horrifyingly frightening if we’re being honest, but Scott’s focus cannot be limited to one thing.

Finding Stiles is the only way Scott & Co. will find the Ghost Riders and defeat them once and for all. All they have to do is listen to Lydia.

She knows what she’s doing and she won’t give up on Stiles for ALL of their sakes.

Additional Notes:
  • Is there a romance brewing between Melissa and Chris? Never knew I wanted it but here we are. Give it to me!
  • Love how the Junior Pack of Teen Wolf is working on coming together and solving the problems in Beacon Hills. They messed up last episode and are trying to rectify it all. Beacon Hills will be in capable hands when Scott & Stiles leave for college.
  • Malia, my sweet werecoyote. There hasn’t been much love on my end for this supernatural badass. I’ve never connected with her but appreciated her. This season is changing it all. Her loss of her anchor has shown how far she’s come. I might have to revisit everything about her and binge watch the seasons.
  • There’s no doubt in my mind that Scott & Co. will get Stiles back. They will win because they believe and have the will. They will find a way because they never give up.

Teen Wolf Review: Sundowning (Season 6 Episode 3)

Lyra is a TV and movie enthusiast. It all started on a dark night when she turned on Fox and fell in love with the X-Files. It was all history after that as she got lost in Doctor Who, The Marvel Verse and most recently everything DC. Her love for Doctor Who lead her to study abroad, where she fell into live-tweeting and the lovely explosion of fandom life that Tumblr is. Her main love for the summer (with a mega re-watch happening) is Arrow. When she isn’t sharing her love for TV and movies she’s writing fan-fiction, taking care of her family, and puttering around her kitchen.
