18 Unforgettable TV Heroes of 2016
7. Peggy Carter (Agent Carter)
In a world of superheroes, Peggy Carter always stood out. Beautiful, deadly, and fiercely intelligent, she was one step ahead of all the men around her despite the limitations put on her by society. Her moral compass always steered her right and she never stopped fighting.
Sadly, Agent Carter probably won’t see another season for a while or never again. But we’ll never forget the lessons that Peggy taught us about being a woman and knowing our own worth.
8. Sara Lance (Legends of Tomorrow)
Sara Lance has been lost for a long time. It’s only with the people on Legends of Tomorrow do I think she’s finally found some peace in her life, a new family, and what it means to be a hero.
She’s a leader, a fighter, and one of the most compassionate people on the show. And that’s saying a lot since she became an assassin, died, and then became an assassin again. Girl’s got baggage and knows how to compartmentalize it all just in time to save the day.
9. Caroline Forbes (The Vampire Diaries)
No one adapted to the life of a vampire like Caroline on The Vampire Diaries.
While others fell apart, became rippers, and lost themselves to the hunger of blood, Caroline became a force to be reckoned with. Always loyal, kind, and brutal, Caroline proved that you don’t have to let your basic instincts rule you.
You can continue your life, adapt, and end up on top when all others thought you’d fail. The fact that she wasn’t perfect and had her few slip-ups, made her even more approachable and memorable.
10. Wynonna Earp (Wynonna Earp)
Finding your place in the world is no easy feat, particularly in the face of a family curse and overwhelming guilt. This wise cracking woman is a hero because she stayed despite both of these things being excellent reasons to bolt.
Wynonna Earp rebuilt her relationship with her estranged sister, delved into what kind of woman she could be, and how she could protect those that needed her.
11. Joyce Byers (Stranger Things)
Stranger Things and its success was due in part to the never wavering perseverance and love that Joyce had for her son. She didn’t let the unthinkable or creepy stop her from pushing her boundaries and that of the people around her.
Her son was her main goal and no one would deter her from it. Her kindness and acceptance of Eleven made her even more fantastic. If it really came down to it, she would’ve let Eleven stay with them and accepted her as her own.
12. Tom Kirkman (Designated Survivor)
Anyone else would’ve jumped ship after having Presidential responsibilities laid on your shoulders so suddenly as the Designated Survivor. But not Tom. He stuck to his guns and pushed down the uncertainty of others and that which he felt for himself.
Tom didn’t hide from the fact that he didn’t know everything by delegating his duties and trusting his gut when necessary. There’s a skill called leadership and this man’s got it!

Hook is nothing but a useless appendage keeping Emma down.
Disagree hater. let me guess you having a shipping tantrum it seems
Emma and Hook are pretty good together.
I love that Emma Swan made the list. She’s such a bad ass. I simply adore her, and her relationships with her parents, friends, and the love of her life.
