18 Unforgettable TV Heroes of 2016
13. Raimy Sullivan (Frequency)
What makes Raimy from Frequency a hero is probably the same thing that makes her an interesting character, and the same thing that makes her a frustrating character that you just want to shake from time to time.
She’s just so driven, so determined, that sometimes she misses out on the little things, on the good things of life. Because Raimy is not backing down. She’s not settling for less. She wants it all. And she’ll stop at nothing to get it.
14. Lucifer (Lucifer)
Sarcastic, constantly inappropriate, and the King of Hell. All of these don’t seem like the makings of a hero but they are. This show is a redemption story of a man (well, fallen angel) who never thought he’d end up caring or putting his life at risk for humans.
Lucifer doesn’t let his past define him and sets out to be someone different in the face of an overwhelming perception of who he is or what he stands for. He’s breaking the mold and having fun while doing it.
15. Ginny Baker (Pitch)
We were fortunate enough to go on a journey with Ginny that would’ve broken most men. She saw those barriers and brick walls in baseball as an opportunity to show how bad she wanted to make her dreams come true.
Ginny’s perseverance, anxieties, and doubts didn’t take away from her character. Surprisingly enough it made her more complex, real, and relatable. We need more heroes like Ginny Baker around here and another season of Pitch, asap!
16. Lucy Preston (Timeless)
Time travel shows have strict rules and limitations. (If they don’t, they should.) As the historian trying to safeguard time itself, you’d think that preserving history would be Lucy’s #1 priority on Timeless. It’s not.
What makes this hero stand out is that she never puts her goal above her people, especially Wyatt and Rufus.
Even in her fight to get her sister back, she’s constantly level-headed, kind, and sure of what must be done to make it back home.
17. Jamie Fraser (Outlander)
Jamie Fraser from Outlander is a hero by modern standards, even if he doesn’t live in the modern world. Because yes, he stays even when it’s foolish to, he fights for his country and his Clan til the end.
Most importantly, he loves a woman who’s his equal with every fiber of his being, and he never tries to make her be less, or bend to his will. And that, above all things, makes him the romantic ideal we wish we had in 2016.
18. The Winchester Brothers (Supernatural)

The Winchesters have been saving the world for 12 years on Supernatural, but they really stepped up their heroics in 2016 by preventing God’s sister, the Darkness, from taking over humanity.
How do you follow up stopping an epic apocalypse? If you’re the Winchesters, you kill Hitler, of course — and celebrate with pie! Thanks Sam and Dean. You’re our heroes.

Hook is nothing but a useless appendage keeping Emma down.
Disagree hater. let me guess you having a shipping tantrum it seems
Emma and Hook are pretty good together.
I love that Emma Swan made the list. She’s such a bad ass. I simply adore her, and her relationships with her parents, friends, and the love of her life.
