18 New Fall TV Shows You’ll Definitely Want to Watch
11. Van Helsing

Listen, vampires are never going to go out of style, and Syfy’s Van Helsing is the newest series to take a stab at the genre. This one also sounds a little like cult favorite, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (but darker).
The show follows Vanessa Van Helsing, a descendant of the Van Helsing lineage of warriors, who now must lead mankind against a world controlled by vampires.
Van Helsing premieres Friday, September 23rd at 10/9c on Syfy.
12. Marvel’s Luke Cage

We fell in love with his character on Jessica Jones, and now it’s time to learn a little more about Luke Cage. The Netflix original series will reveal how Luke Cage got his powers and allow us to become even more entrenched in the Marvel Universe.
Go ahead and start making your binge-watching plans now.
Marvel’s Luke Cage premieres Friday, September 30th on Netflix.
13. Westworld

This new series is inspired by the 1973 film of the same name, and imagines a world where every human desire can be indulged, no matter how noble or how sinful.
HBO describes it as “a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin.”
Westworld premieres Sunday, October 2nd at 9/8c on HBO.
14. Timeless

When a mysterious criminal steals a secret state-of-the-art time machine intent on destroying America by changing the past, an unlikely team that includes a scientist (Malcolm Barrett), a soldier (Matt Lanter), and a history professor (Abigail Spencer) have to use the machine’s prototype to travel back in time to critical events.
Time travel seems like the theme of Fall TV these year, but Timeless has the potential to stand out among the others. I’m definitely looking forward to this one.
Timeless premieres Monday, October 3rd at 10/9c on NBC.
15. Frequency
Another time-travel show, The CW’s Frequency is one we’ve already been talking about. It’s based on the 2000 film, and follows Raimy (Peyton List) as a detective who starts communicating with her deceased father and helps prevent him from being killed in the first place.
Frequency premieres Wednesday, October 5th at 9/8c on The CW.
