When Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) is sequestered as part of standard protocol during the State of the Union, an attack on the US Capitol means he’s suddenly appointed President of the United States.

Whether or not he’s actually fit for the job? Well, that’s another question, but he’s going to have to try. The political thriller looks like it’s going be to heck of a ride.

Designated Survivor premieres Wednesday, September 21st at 10/9c on ABC.
