Interviews, San Diego Comic-Con, Supernatural

We caught up with Supernatural’s Mark Sheppard at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about playing Crowley, what this show means to him and to fans, and working with Lucifer!

(They might even play music together. Cross your fingers for that one!)

Sheppard doesn’t see Crowley changing the kind of demon he’s always been in Season 12 of Supernatural.

“Personally, I’ve always played Crowley as being one step ahead of everything. Always has been and always will, whether they write him that way or not. I’ve always played it that way. And I don’t think that’s gonna change.”

The same could be said for the connection that Sheppard and the cast have with the fans.

“I think our connection with our fans is a really fantastic, sort of symbiotic, arrangement. And I think it’s very powerful. I think they [the executive producers] listen. I really do think they listen. And I really do think the fans have an effect on what it is that we do.”

There’s a voice there within the fandom, and Supernatural hears us.

Lyra is a TV and movie enthusiast. It all started on a dark night when she turned on Fox and fell in love with the X-Files. It was all history after that as she got lost in Doctor Who, The Marvel Verse and most recently everything DC. Her love for Doctor Who lead her to study abroad, where she fell into live-tweeting and the lovely explosion of fandom life that Tumblr is. Her main love for the summer (with a mega re-watch happening) is Arrow. When she isn’t sharing her love for TV and movies she’s writing fan-fiction, taking care of her family, and puttering around her kitchen.
