8 Things We Want From Agents of SHIELD Season 4

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Lists

For a show to enter its 4th season is a remarkable thing, even in this era of Peak TV. Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD will do just that on Tuesday, September 20th.

Season 3 had many memorable moments as we said farewell to a few characters, including one that had been with the show since the beginning. We also saw FitzSimmons finally take the step from friends to lovers as Daisy became a vigilante from the law.

So what’s next? Here are 8 things we want from Agents of SHIELD Season 4.

1. A return to SHIELD for Daisy

It feels like at the end of each season, there’s always a deep blow to Daisy in her personal life. (Season 1: Ward, Season 2: Her Mom, Season 3: Lincoln).

As we know, she’ll be on the run at the beginning of Season 4. My hope is that after a little while, she will be able to join back up with her friends on the team as her partnership with Mack is always a highlight of the show.

2. Let the new director be someone we can get used to

Jason O’Mara has joined the cast this season as the new director of SHIELD (name unknown as of the posting of this article).

I’ve noticed that new characters in charge don’t usually have a long life span (RIP Rosalind). My hope is that we can get to know this new director and be able connect to his character without saying goodbye just as I’m starting to get use to him.

3. More solo showcase episodes

One of the best episodes last season was “4,722 hours,” which was completely focused on Simmons’s character. This season, I hope we can get another solo showcase episode of a member of the team. My pick: Fitz.

Though an episode with Coulson reliving a solo mission before meeting The Avengers would be a good one too.

MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. - "4,722 Hours" - After her dramatic rescue from another planet, Simmons is still reeling from her ordeal and reveals how she had to fight for her life in a harsh new world, on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. 4. Healthy FitzSimmons

There’s no way to express my happiness of our favorite scientists getting together romantic styles.

Fitz and Simmons are made for one another, and this season I’d love to see them buck the trend most comic book shows do and let them have a strong, healthy relationship. PLEASE??

5. Ghost Rider being Ghost Rider

This season is introducing Robbie Reyes, aka Ghost Rider, from the comics. It’s going to be cool to see the flaming head, but also to just let him go wild and have some awesome battles with bad guys and/or SHIELD.

6.Different pairings on missions

Whenever there is a mission, I always seem to see the same pairings (example: Coulson and May… a lot). This season of Agents of SHIELD, I’d love to see new team-ups like Fitz and May or Mack and Simmons.

7. Yo-Yo and Joey to be a bigger part of the team

I loved seeing Joey and Yo-Yo being a part of the team last season, but it felt too short. It would be wonderful to see  more of Joey and more of his life now, not only as a gay man in the Marvel universe but also as an inhuman.

Also, Yo-Yo and Mack had real chemistry in their scenes, and I’d love to see more of that in future episodes.

And last but certainly not least…

8. Bobbi and Hunter’s return

Last time I saw our favorite spy duo, the team and a heartbroken Mack were saying good-bye to them in the classic scene “The Spy’s Goodbye.” Later, it was found out that the “Marvel’s Most Wanted” pilot they were to star in was not picked up.

With that news, it would feel great for us to see them again even if it is only for an episode. Bobbi and Hunter are too fun and great of characters not to let us have at least one more time into the breach with them.

So those are 8 things I’d really like to see on Agents of SHIELD Season 4. While I’ll miss some characters this season (RIP Lincoln and Grant Ward), I cannot wait to see what the next chapter for our favorite agents will be this September at its new time: Tuesdays at 10/9c on ABC!

  • about the items in the post:

1-A return to SHIELD for Daisy

not so fast, please. keep her character away from the SHIELD for a while could bring a big growth for her. and when she return, i want a more independent Daisy, and not only the Coulson’s protegé we keep watching since season 1.

2-Let the new director be someone we can get used to

    yes please!

    3-More solo showcase episodes

seriously, i can’t understand why people like that solo episode. yes, i do not think was bad, but i never like interruptions in the story flow (same problem with some unorganic time jumps).

    4-Healthy FitzSimmons

In the current moment of the show, i couldn’t care less.

    5-Ghost Rider being Ghost Rider

After this character being confirmed in the show, i read the comic book series All-New All-Different Ghost Rider and i like what i see, however I can’t figure a good way this character could be integrated with the show story. i think i need wait and see (hoping for good stuff).

    6-Different pairings on missions

Could be great, or not. So far, i think the unique new pairing was Daisy and Mack, and this was not one of my favorities, mainly because since season 2b i keep hating Mack’s character so much (due all his Real-SHIELD associations and Inhumans/Aliens lines). I hope we could see a new pairing as good as Season 1 FitzSimmons.

7-Yo-Yo and Joey to be a bigger part of the team

Not only them, but James too (maybe in some kind of redemption path) and Eden Fesi (yes, writers, i will never forget about that tease).

    8-Bobbi and Hunter’s return

the fastest possible. return of the ones that should never left.
