5 Things We Learned About ‘The 100’ at San Diego Comic-Con
While The 100 is well-known for its dark and gritty subject matter and heartbreaking losses, last season, The CW’s Sci-Fi hit sparked some real controversy with the death of a beloved LGBTQ+ character, and that controversy started a movement.
It’s safe to say that, in terms of buzz, the show’s third season will be a tough act to follow.
Can Season 4 rise to the challenge? Perhaps in a more positive way than its predecessor?
Only time will tell. But, for now, here are 5 things we learned about The 100 during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con:
1. Roan and Indra are alive.
We’re all thrilled to learn that at least two of our favorite grounders survived the show’s explosive third season!
With how bad things were looking for both Indra and Roan at the end of that finale, it’s such a relief to learn that both characters are alive and well and will be back for season four. More than that…
2. Roan will be a series regular this season.

That’s right, folks! Everyone’s favorite Ice Prince (King?!) will not only be back next season, but he is coming back as a series regular.
That means we will be getting a whole lot more of the Ice Nation’s new King (and, well…with Lexa dead and no willing Night Bloods left to ascend to the throne, maybe we can count on Roan to step up in a leadership role? Hmm…).
3. Kane, you are NOT the father.

So, this one’s a little more fun than newsworthy, but what’s life without a bit of fun? During their panel, the show’s cast and showrunner revealed that, in the original Pilot script, Kane was Octavia’s Father!
Of course, that little idea was scrapped, and Octavia’s Father’s identity remains a mystery (as does Bellamy’s, despite the fact that Bob Morley and Henry Ian Cusick refer to each other as Father and Son on set).
4. Monty and Harper are on. Bye, Minty?
That’s right, Minty shippers. Harper and Monty’s surprising romantic connection is going to carry in to the series’ fourth season.
That being said, relationships on this show tend to not last long — one or both parties tend to wind up dead, if we’re being honest — so, don’t give up hope! This may not be the end for Minty. And, hey, who knows — maybe Marper (…Honty? Harty? Morper?) will be adorable. Both characters are adorable separately, maybe they’ll be irresistibly cute together!
5. Luna will be back.

And thank God, because the last living Night Blood was one of the coolest new characters to grace our screens last season. Although we got no hints as to what her role may be, showrunner Jason Rothenberg has stated that Luna will have a story arch that will span a few episodes in the coming season.
Given how strongly she rejected Clarke in Season 3, it’s doubtful that she will suddenly be willing to ascend to becoming Commander — despite the fact that she would be amazing at it.
There you have it, ladies and gentlemen! A few little hints as to what we have to look forward in the upcoming season.
And now, we wait…
The 100 returns for Season 4 in 2017.

This season looks epic. It’s good know there was a bit of backstory to Bellamy and Kane’s father/son relationship other than Cusick just looking for a hook.
Monty and Harper could be so cute. Now I am twice as excited for Season 4.
