Top 6 Moments from UnREAL: Infiltration (Season 2 Episode 5)

Reviews, UnREAL

It doesn’t matter how much Rachel and Coleman try to best, toy, or outshine Quinn as showrunners in UnREAL’s “Infiltration.” Quinn’s already won. She’s played this game longer than both of them and will put them through the ringer before they realize what hit them.

In an episode where everyone’s expectations are tested and the weak get eliminated, here are the top 6 moments of UnREAL’s “Infiltration.”

1. Quinn trying on dresses

No matter how Instagram ready Quinn felt in that blue number, she looked absolutely beautiful in it. Furthermore, she exuded confidence when it came to her body and didn’t have a problem changing in front of Chet.

He is of no threat to her and has no say over her body or how she presents it. She’s a woman in control who dictates the specific parameters she is to be perceived as.

2. Coleman trying to one up Quinn

Coleman likes to pretend he’s in charge and that he knows all the ways of the industry. Confronting Quinn was his way of gently telling her so and keeping her under his thumb. He learns quickly that this is Quinn’s fairy forest and she knows every nook and cranny she has to exploit to make “some noise.”

So watch your back, Coleman. While you’re making googly eyes at Rachel, Quinn is scheming and showing the network head who’s really in charge.

3. Quinn surprising Coleman and Rachel at the awards party

These two thought they had everything planned. They thought that not having a ticket would stop Quinn. They were do wrong.

Quinn made Everlasting what it is! Not having a piece of paper isn’t going to stop her. If anything it’s going to drive her even more to wipe those smirks off their faces with her poise, intelligence, and ability to craft a story like no one else.

4. Darius eliminating Ruby

Every time a new season or show starts, I promise myself that I won’t get attached. Every time, I fail.

Ruby was genuinely falling for Darius just as I was ready to learn everything there was to know about these two. He didn’t think that he was good enough for her and wanted to spare her the pain of finding out he wasn’t who she thought he was. Now they’ll never get a chance to explore if he was right or not.

5. Quinn driving off with new man

After Chet and Rachel’s betrayal, its my belief that Quinn deserves all the good things in the world. She has spent too long surrounded by people trying to trample over her for their own gain.

Even if her time with this new beau amounts to nothing, it’s nice to see her breaking away from all the drama to find happiness for herself.

6. Jeremy attacking Rachel

The only reason this is included in the top moments of “Infiltration” is because it’s the end of any hope I ever held for Jeremy. He took his own self-loathing at loving Rachel and used it lash out on her.

It was a selfish and immature display of control over someone he claims to despise. You reap what you sow, Jeremy. Now you’re out of a job and a future. Good luck.

UnREAL airs Mondays at 10/9c on Lifetime.

Lyra is a TV and movie enthusiast. It all started on a dark night when she turned on Fox and fell in love with the X-Files. It was all history after that as she got lost in Doctor Who, The Marvel Verse and most recently everything DC. Her love for Doctor Who lead her to study abroad, where she fell into live-tweeting and the lovely explosion of fandom life that Tumblr is. Her main love for the summer (with a mega re-watch happening) is Arrow. When she isn’t sharing her love for TV and movies she’s writing fan-fiction, taking care of her family, and puttering around her kitchen.
