Suits Review: Accounts Payable (Season 6 Episode 2)
On this week’s episode of Suits, entitled “Accounts Payable,” not only does Harvey give up something that he cherishes the most, but he gets yelled at by Mike and Rachel, and Donna isn’t as supportive as she needs to be.
Everyone needs to learn that this whole situation is probably affecting Harvey the most, and just give him a break for Pete’s sake.
It’s hard to watch Harvey blame everything on himself — hiring Mike, and Mike being in jail — to the point where he doesn’t think he deserves anything anymore. Including a painting that reminds him of his mom.
All I can say is: Elliott is a horrible character, and if anyone in this world exists that has the same malicious intent, then, shame on you.
Very rarely does a show get to re-purpose itself. Very rarely does it get to have a ‘new’ premise.
Suits now has that chance, and so far, I think they’re handling it very well. One thing I have always loved about Aaron Korsh’s storytelling is that he lets things play out. He lets the story tell itself, almost in an organic way.
That’s why it’s taken six years for Mike to be caught.
And that’s why there hasn’t been a time jump between these seasons. Wouldn’t it just have been so easy to pick up two years later, when Mike is getting out?
Yeah. But this is so much more interesting.
In the season premiere ,we got to see Mike get played by Frank. He had his guard down, and couldn’t really understand how he should hold himself.
After being completely screwed over, it’s so easy to see it in Mike’s eyes in “Accounts Payable,” that he will not let anyone take advantage of him again. His guard is up, and he is on high alert.
He is, once again, Mike Ross — the smartest guy in the room.
Well, maybe not yet… but soon.
Last week, Mike was too trustworthy. This week, he takes it to the other extreme, and doesn’t trust anyone.

It’s wrong on both accounts. He needs to find a balance if he wants to survive, and making some ‘friends,’ won’t hurt. Especially since, you know, Frank could have been a murderer!
Which brings me to Harvey.
Why is everyone yelling at him? I’ve had some negative reviews about Rachel in Season 5, and I was so willing to give her a chance this season, after Aaron Korsh was quick to point out my bias toward her over Twitter.
But I can’t. She’s whiny and rude, and a bit useless, to be honest. Get a hobby, Rachel. Or help Gretchen answer some phone calls.
Okay, Yes, she’s hurt. Yes, she’s scared.
Yes, this sucks.
But you know what, Rachel? Everyone is scared, and hurt. The scene with Harvey and Frank face to face with just a fence in between them shows just how much this is affecting Harvey.
We’ve heard Harvey say “I’ll take care of it” so many times in the past, and this one time, he can’t. And I can see that it’s really taking a toll on him. Along with trying to downplay Mike’s situation to Rachel, and keeping a happy face on for her while simultaneously trying to save the firm with Jessica… I have a feeling Harvey may crack.
I just hope Donna is there for him. #DarveyForever
Or perhaps Jessica. Jessica and Harvey have always had their differences, but it’s nice to see them banding together to save their name and their firm.
Jessica has, and probably always will be a strong, independent, and powerful woman, but her subtle character development over the past five seasons has been fabulous.
And you know why? Because we didn’t even realize it was happening until she helped Jack buy in to Zane’s law firm. She’s perfect, really. And smart.
I’m not sure how things will play out in future, but I am very excited to see my favorite characters fight tooth and nail for something the things they believe in.
Mike.
And Pearson Spector Litt.
