Robert Singer Talks Sam’s Kidnapping and ‘Supernatural’ Season 12 [Video]
We caught up with Supernatural Executive Producer Robert Singer at San Diego Comic-Con to talk Sam’s kidnapping by the Men of Letters, starting the season off with a bang, and Lucifer’s new vessel.
Sam’s kidnapping and eventual reunion with Dean will be taken care of first, when Supernatural returns for it’s 12th season. Unfortunately for viewers, we’ll be getting a healthy dose of angst because Sam doesn’t know Dean is alive.

“As far as [Sam] knew, the bomb blew up, and that’s what saved the world. So he’s really sort of really excited to see Dean when Dean shows up.”
Singer promises that the situation will be dealt with in a couple of action-packed episodes where, “we get the season off on a kind of a bang where we see everybody involved that we know, love, and hate.”
Lucifer’s new vessel, Rick Springfield, was a surprise to Singer.
“We got the Rick Springfield idea, which frankly we thought maybe a little pie in the sky. We don’t know if we can actually pull that off. But we did, and we’re really excited about it. He started work last week, and it looks great. We’re very fortunate.”
