Nick Wechsler Talks Spoilers and Changes in the TV Industry [Video]

ATX Television Festival, Interviews, Revenge, Video

Spoiler alert! The way we watch television has changed pretty dramatically over the past several years.

When we caught up with Nick Wechsler last month at the ATX Television Festival, he shared a few of his thoughts on those changes, including how spoilers affect the viewing experience.

“One year I was here doing a Netflix spoiler alert panel,” Wechsler said. “And the point of the panel was essentially that Netflix has discovered through their research, I think, that spoilers don’t really spoil. It really just draws more people in.”

He also talked about spoilers on social media, as well as changes in the industry when it comes to things like how actors are paid for their roles.

Since Wechsler is an ambassador for the ATX Festival and a regular attendee, we also spoke with him about what makes the ATX Television Festival such a special event. Find out what he had to say about that here.
