Killjoys: Top 6 Moments from ‘Schooled’ (Season 2 Episode 4)

Killjoys

I never knew how badly I needed the team to take on a mission involving kids until now. “Schooled” is a fun and emotional hour of Killjoys. Brotherhood is definitely the focus, and it is magnificent.

Here are some of the top moments from the episode:

1. The Kids

We catch a glimpse as to what D’av, Dutch, and Johnny will be like as parents, and it’s awesome. I wish Dutch spent a little more time with the kids, and that we got to know the girls a bit more. Still, D’av and Johnny are super adorable with the little ones. I love how at the beginning everyone has their own kid, and D’av’s is the one who is misbehaving.

Dutch: To escort students? Like small people?

D’av: Children, Dutch. They are called children.

2. Dutch shooting Delle Seyah

Aside from the fact that it was completely unexpected, did you see Pawter’s reaction? I died. It was so funny, and honestly, it might be my favorite moment from the entire hour. Pawter just looked so happy at this turn of events.

3. The brothers Jaqobis

I really enjoyed watching the two of them work out their brother issues by identifying with and helping Jake and Olan. The parallels between both sets of brothers is glaringly obvious. Johnny and D’av did this all on their own too, meaning D’av didn’t hear Johnny’s speech to Olan, even though I’m sure Johnny has wanted to say some of those things to D’av.

D’av: Because a brother will always have your back. Isn’t that right, Johnny?

Johnny: Yup, even if they stab you in it.

4. Hate flirting

I love me some Delle Seyah. Anytime her and Dutch are in a room together, it’s just magic. I mean how awesome is it that Dutch acknowledges that they mainly hate flirt when they are together? She calls it like it is. We go from Dutch shooting Delle Seyah to Delle Seyah kissing Dutch. I’m here for it.

5. “Rescuing” Pawter

Pawter needs no man to save her. While I do kind of wish we got to see more of what happened after Pawter was grabbed, I really like how Johnny shows up right as Pawter is earning her freedom by winning an arm wrestling contest of all things. Sure, things go sideways after that, and Pawter does need Johnny’s help help, but that’s more of her willing to accept help than being a damsel. We also got an awesome bar fight out of that.

Pawter: You damn Jaqobis and your damsel shit.

6. Lucy

When is Lucy not amazing? She is like a parent dropping her kids off at school, except her kids are full grown adults, but she still offers them words of wisdom for their first day. She also sasses Olan when he tries to override her. Lucy, never change.
