Guilt Season 1 Episode 4 Review: Blood Ties | Tell-Tale TV

Guilt Review: Blood Ties (Season 1 Episode 4)

Guilt, Reviews

Guys, a miraculous moment happens throughout the course of this week’s Guilt. I actually like Grace. It’s shocking, right?

The reason why this turn of events happens is because the focus of the hour is not on making Grace look shady or shifty. Instead, we actually get to know her a little bit better. Between the fun run with her sister and Grace’s fight with Luc, we see more of  Grace the person and not Grace the potential murder suspect.

This is a great change, but it’s not like Grace doesn’t do anything suspicious. Did you see her smirk when she lifts up her shirt, revealing her pierced belly button? Did anyone else wait for Grace to say, “Gotcha?”

Watching everyone conduct their own investigations is one of the highlights of Guilt.  It’s so fascinating to see what everyone uncovers, and how they find these things out. Then, there’s the moment as you process the new information, and it shifts your own perspective of the case and everyone involved.

For instance, Natalie digging into Gwen’s past definitely changes how you look at Gwen. Sorry, but it’s impossible to think that she isn’t biased against Grace. The girls she saw murdering her classmate Jenna got away with murder because they came from rich families. Gwen never actually denies being biased either.

I’m not sure how active prosecutors really are, but Gwen seems like she’s more involved than she should be. Does anyone else think that maybe Gwen should have been the one kicked off the case and not DS Bruno?

Natalie finally puts that prosecutor brain of hers to work. She keeps an eye out for paparazzi while running with Grace. She digs into Gwen. Good for you, Natalie. I am proud of you.

One thing I wish is that we see more of Stan actively doing something. Sure, he proves himself to be useful whenever Natalie gets arrested or when the option of Grace speaking with Gwen is presented, but what is he doing the rest of the time? He has to be doing something.

I’d love to see him strategizing a bit more on how to spin the story or something. Basically, I just want more Stan. Doesn’t everyone?

We all saw it coming. DS Bruno and Natalie are officially a thing now. I’m not saying they are going steady or anything, but they have sex.

It’s predictable, yes, but the main issue is that it feels a little too early for DS Bruno to be accused of having “feelings” towards Natalie. Maybe it’s just me, but “feelings” sounds like DS Bruno genuinely cares for Natalie, and I don’t think that is the case. Sure, he likes her and thinks she’s attractive, but I wouldn’t call that “feelings.”

What do you think? Would you say that DS Bruno has “feelings” for Natalie or did you have the same reaction that I did?

Suspect round up:

Luc: Did we always know he was a drug dealer? Anyways, he throws his artwork across the room, proving he has a short temper, at least when he’s using. If he was using the night Molly died, it’s not crazy to think he could’ve snapped and stabbed her.

Prince Theo: If you aren’t guilty, why do you need a vial of Molly’s blood to plant on someone else? Unless Prince Theo’s got an Angelina Jolie/Billy Bob Thornton thing going on, I’m suspicious of his request that DS Bruno steal some of Molly’s blood.

Grace: Her smirk at the belly button reveal is suspicious enough, but then there’s the fact that Luc isn’t sure whether or not Grace got her belly button pierced the night Molly died or some other night.

What did you think of this episode of Guilt? Is vinegar and mayo on fries (excuse me, chips) actually delicious? Honestly, it’s hard to imagine that combination. Share your thoughts in the comments below!
