11 Leslie Knope GIFs That Sum Up the Supernatural Season Finale
Supernatural signed off on its 11th Season with “Alpha and Omega,” after a string of excellent Monster of the Week episodes, huge twists and turns, and brotherly moments that left viewers feeling all of the warm and fuzzies.
But here’s the thing about the Season 11 finale: it feels like a complete and total letdown after the huge build-up of a battle between God and the Darkness.
Sometimes, it’s easier to express thoughts and feelings with GIFs, rather than words.
To do that properly, my go-to is Parks and Recreation‘s Leslie Knope.
Without further adieu, I give you my reactions to Supernatural‘s “Alpha and Omega,” with the help of Pawnee’s finest lady.
When I hear, “Carry On My Wayward Son,” play as the season is recapped, and then immediately discover that Castiel survived Lucifer’s eviction from his body:

Upon discovering that Amara is “eating the sun,” and everyone just wants to give up and get drunk, this pretty much sums up my thoughts:

My confusion about God’s injuries, and also my agreeing with Dean that God should be able to just make things happen…I mean, he’s God:

After the gang decides to build a “soul bomb,” so long as they can get, you know, a few hundreds of thousands of souls…

When Billie the Reaper shows up in the bunker…

… and then HELPS them make the soul bomb.

When Dean thanks Castiel for doing what needed to be done, and tells him that he’s the best friend that he and Sam have ever had:

When Dean decides that he is going to be the person who confronts Amara with the soul bomb, knowing it will probably kill him…

…but when Dean says his goodbyes to everyone before going to Amara:

When Amara doesn’t ACTUALLY want to end God’s creation, and the whole thing is just a weird sibling fight, so she and Chuck go off together to just be a family and that’s it, so I wonder what this whole season was even all about:

When the mystery woman of Letters shows up and shoots Sam:

Leslie Knope can encapsulate all of my thoughts to this point, but man…when Dean saw Mary Winchester in the woods, looking alive and well, I need help from another member of the Parks department:

While much of the finale was a bit of a letdown, there’s a lot of hope for the upcoming 12th Season.
Who is this woman who’s shot Sam? I have no doubt that he’ll live, but her presence alone is intriguing, along with her wall full of Winchester knowledge.
And guys, Mary Winchester? Is this what Amara meant when she said that she wanted to do something to repay Dean for giving her what she wanted in a reunion with her brother? If so…what a great setup for Season 12!

Dean rewarded
Sam punished .
That sums up Supernatural and Castiel getting a pass for Lucifer who was Sam,s abuser .
I fell out of love with this show a while ago and this episode , sums up why .
Couldn’t agree more! It’s especially frustrating this season because Sam was really the MVP all year, stepping up to bat and making the right choices when Dean couldn’t, or wouldn’t. I was so put off by there being no mention of Lucifer torturing Sam. This was absolutely Sam’s season.
I’m not throwing in the towel on the show, because after all this time, I can’t. Plus, the ending DOES set up great ground for next season. And we KNOW Sam isn’t going anywhere, so he’s probably fine. But Supernatural is definitely losing some of its sparkle.
