Gilmore Girls Revival is Official!

Gilmore Girls, News

Well, thank goodness! The news of a Gilmore Girls revival had us crying tears of joy when we heard about it in October, but the news was just a little too vague and a little too good to be true, especially since there were no “official” announcements.

However, Netflix announced on Twitter today that the revival is officially happening, and Lauren Graham followed with her own announcement.

According to TVLine, returning cast members (so far) will include Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Sean Gunn, and Keiko Agena.

The revival will include four 90-minute installments, which will all be written and directed by Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino.

Our Gilmore Girls Revival Dreams

We’re finally going to find out those final words, and we couldn’t be more excited! When Amy Sherman-Palladino talked about the possibility at the ATX Television Festival last summer, she said she would only do any kind of revival if the timing and circumstances were right. And that’s exactly what we’re looking forward to seeing.

Filming is reportedly going to begin in February.
