Suits Review: No Puedo Hacerlo (Season 5 Episode 4)
Excuse me, I think we just got Litt Up!
Right?
Because I did! That’s what this week’s episode of Suits entitled “No Puedo Hacerlo” did to me! While it is definitely lighter than the episodes that have proceeded it, I absolutely love watching Harvey seemingly get his life back on track after losing Donna.
This is the first episode we see him truly have his life together. His surrogate father routine with Mike is priceless, mostly because we haven’t seen it in so long; and watching him flirt with Amy Acker took me back to the pilot episode. Remember what that leggy model sultrily said? “We could have breakfast, and I could let you eat it off my stomach.”
Remember?
This episode revolves around Mike mostly, which is a nice change in pace. We see him really fight for his clients and earn the respect of Zane. Does anyone even like Zane? He seems to be on a high horse that he needs to be knocked off of, and the way he speaks to Mike is just plain rude. Maybe it’s because Harvey has never spoken down to Mike the way Zane did tonight, but he does not have my respect. And maybe Rachel should see the way her father speaks to Mike, before going on a rampage.
I’m not sure what the writers intended from this scene; perhaps it is to show Rachel sticking up for her dad — but it falls short. It just makes her look like she’s crazy. She has no context about what she overheard, and it did not sit well with me that Mike rolls over so quickly.
Sure, it isn’t about the money, but I really do feel like he should have fought for himself more. He’s been struggling so hard for more than $70,000 for his clients, but when Rachel throws her little tantrum, he somehow seems okay with it. Rachel needs to understand the boundaries of her professional and personal life. And Mike? Needs to be stronger. Be stronger, Mike. Be stronger.
And now, the feel good moment of the episode. Of course, it revolves around Donna and Harvey. He thanks her.
Harvey: Thank you.
Donna: For what?
Harvey: For 12 years.
Oh, my Darvey heart! The little smile on Donna’s face says it all; she is surprised, shocked, and thankful for Harvey acting like a big boy. And although I haven’t liked how Donna’s character handled this situation this whole season, I’m happier for Harvey, who seems to be moving on, and coming to terms with the fact that she may not actually come back to him.
It is ironic that it is Louis’s sister’s divorce that helps him realize that. He’s not 100% back yet — and his defensive teasing at the beginning of the episode while he speaks to Mike about Zane proves that; he’s still a little worried that Mike will leave him for Robert, and that’s okay. People have fears — and after such a major change in Harvey’s life, he’s allowed to fear that Mike will leave.
But at least he’s not having panic attacks, or just being grumpy all the time anymore. And that’s because of the therapist. Can we see more of her? I can really see the affect her sessions have on him.
Things to think about:
- What was that sketchy look Rachel had after Mike spoke about having kids with her?
- Where was Gretchen?! I need more of her!
- Amy Acker is everything — and I miss her as Fred on Angel.

LOVED the flirting between Esther and Harvey. I want to see more of them together because they really hit it off. And I want to see how Louis and Donna would react to it!
I also loved that Rachel is actually being used as Harvey’s associate finally and their banter was really amusing. I did find it a little odd that she was so excited to see Harvey like he was hit by ‘lightning’ with Esther, when Rachel is such good friends with Donna. I feel like Rachel should have been a bit bummed on behalf of Donna?! It seemed a bit inconsistent for her character.
