The 100 Review: Blood Must Have Blood Part 2 (Season 2 Episode 16)
I literally cannot envision a more perfect season finale than the one I just watched.
Seriously.
Where do I even start? With Octavia’s badass slide down the hallway, complete with murder tips? Or maybe all the hugging and reunions that we’ve desperately needed to see for six months now? Maybe even the swoon-worthy way that Wick fought and fought against the Mount Weather guards who were hurting Raven?
Nope, in true The 100 fashion, we’re starting with the Deaths. That’s right, capital D. Because they were that traumatic.
First up, those two dudes with Jaha and Murphy. Cannon fodder if I ever saw it.
Then Fox. Poor little Ark Girl, we barely knew you.
Things take a turn for the serious as we arrive at the death of President Dante Wallace. Left with no other bargaining chips or options, Clarke shoots Dante in the chest, killing him to get Cage to stop the drilling on the Raven. Instead, he puts Abby on the table. A parent for a parent.

Just when you think another character is about to die, you realize you’re wrong. LOTS more are headed for death’s door. Bellamy and Clarke flood the entire sub-level with radiation to stop Cage, killing every man, woman, and child in Mount Weather.
Including our poor friend, Maya.
Jasper is understandably heartbroken, but not as heartbroken as the entire The 100 fandom. I don’t know about everyone else, but I never thought it would come to genocide. The Mount Weather survivors might have been a small civilization, but they were a civilization nonetheless. And they were all wiped out in one blow. Seeing the destruction all laid out like that… this show is dark, guys. Really, really dark.
Amidst the heartbreak is a nice moment between Clarke and Abby. Clarke is heartbroken at what she’s just done, and tells her mother she tried to be one of the good guys.
Abby: “Maybe there are no good guys.”
It’s an emotional moment played perfectly by Eliza Taylor and Paige Turco, and it’s one of those reunion scenes we really needed to see.
The final death is, of course, our dear friend Cage. Killed by Lincoln, and good riddance!
In case you were worried about your faves, here are the main characters who made it through: Clarke, Bellamy, Octavia, Jasper, Monty, Raven, Wick, Abby, Kane, Lincoln, Jaha, and Murphy.
Phew!

Bellarke shippers get a treat in this episode, through all the murder and madness, as Clarke and Bellamy hold hands pulling that lever down on Mount Weather. It might be a horrible choice they make, but they make it together. Like always.
On top of that, the ending scene between them is truly beautiful. It’s a callback to the scene in Season 1 where Clarke forgives Bellamy for indirectly killing the 300 people on the Ark. They’re both going to have to live with the weight of the slaughter they just committed, but Bellamy knows it will hang heavier on Clarke. And he’s there for her.
Heading forward, we’ve got a few questions lined up for Season 3.
Where will Clarke go? Whose sweet pad is Murphy crashing in? And who in the hell is the hologram lady that seems 100% evil?
Now begins the very long wait until The 100 returns for Season 3

While not the ending I hoped for , it goes to show there are no happy endings ! Tragic, but so is war. But as pissed as Jasper is ,it’s probably a good thing Clarke vacated the camp..Besides, absence makes the heart grow fonder ( & all that ) for the bellarke fans
Clarke is going on a walkabout to try & find peace with her decision to kill Mt. Weather
A.L.I.E. (Erica Cerra ) is probably the one that caused the nuclear war to start with
these are things I’m sure of…now to speculate…….
what does A.L.I.E stand for ? artificial living intelligent evil??.
Here’s an idea..we still don’t know for sure if anyone on the other Ark stations survived..maybe Emerson will hook up with a group of them ( they won’t know who the hell he is or what he’s done)..Clarke will seek out the other stations ( or just run across them on her walkabout) – then we’ll have more players AND a showdown with Clarke/Emerson….but that would not be season 3..Emerson would need more time to ingratiate himself with a new group to form a wedge between fellow arkers ( or sky if you prefer) and Clarke/Camp Jaha…I bet my last dollar that if any other stations did survive A.L.I.E. would know.. Jaha is a wildcard..will he help the nutty computer , or choose to save humanity…
