Review: Arrow, “Left Behind” (Season 3 Episode 10)
I can’t be the only one who cried, can I?
Team Arrow took a serious hit in “Left Behind,” and we had to suffer right along with them.
A heartbroken Felicity, a listless Roy, and a weary Diggle all team up to try to keep the city under control in Oliver’s absence, but they find that they’re just one member short of a complete set.
Lucky for them, Laurel is willing to suit up.
I have to say, I’m loving the change in dynamic for the spring run of Arrow. Crime fighting is fun and all, but taking Oliver out of the mix for a few episodes seems like it’s going to be a great way to not only develop other characters, but also set up a new mystery for the season. Oliver has really been the glue that held the show together for the past few years, so everyone has to find a new normal without him.
For Felicity, that normal is despair and hopelessness. For Diggle, it’s uncertainty about the future and the team. For Laurel, it’s a renewed determination to take up Sara’s mantel as the Canary, serving justice to the escaped convicts of Starling City.

And apparently, there’s lots of justice to be served! Our new major villain seems to be this Brick character. After letting out all the inmates that Arrow put away in the last year, Brick has pretty much hit the reset button on the city’s crime wave.
At least there will be lots to do when Oliver gets back? Speaking of which…
As far as those last few minutes go, I can only say, THANK GOD.
I know, I know… no one really expected Oliver to be dead. You can’t exactly have a show without your main character. But still, I was getting a little antsy as we approached the end of the episode. And Maseo does say that Tatsu brought him back to life, right? So, he was full on dead for a while there.
Very mysterious.
What do you think about Oliver’s “death?” Will Felicity ever rejoin Team Arrow? How long until Thea finds out the truth? Leave your guesses in the comments below!
