Len Goodman to Leave Dancing with the Stars DANCING WITH THE STARS - "Episode 1908" - "Dancing with the Stars" paid tribute to well-known twosomes, both real and fictional, during "dynamic duo" night MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on ABC. The duo dance styles included Jazz, Cha Cha, Contemporary and the Rumba. Additionally and for the first time this season, the couple with the highest overall score for the night was granted immunity from elimination. The duos who did not receive immunity then competed in a dance-off to earn extra judges' points in an effort to increase their overall score. (ABC/Adam Taylor)

Len Goodman to Leave Dancing with the Stars

Dancing with the Stars, News

Oh, Len! Say it ain’t so!

Unfortunately, Len Goodman told reporters this week that Dancing with the Stars Season 20 would be his last. Goodman was missing from the judges’ table several weeks in Season 19, with his spot filled by celebrity guest judges including Pitbull and Jessie J.

Those weeks were missing a little something, that’s for sure. Dancing with the Stars simply isn’t the same without it’s critical guest judge. And every couple wants a perfect score, but getting a “ten from Len” is the highest honor. I can’t imagine what the show will be like without Len, but I’m not happy about it all!

Of course, he has good reasons for Season 20 to be his last. “Next year, I’m not going to do the flying backwards and forwards – I’m not going to do the American show… I’ve got to have a bit of time off,” Goodman said. Instead, he’ll be spending more time with his family.

This Spring will mark the 10-year anniversary of Dancing with the Stars, so its fitting that Season 20 will be Len’s last. As for what will happen when Len leaves, that remains to be seen. Julianne Hough has joined the judges’ table, making it a bit too crowded if you ask me. Hopefully, after Len’s departure, there will only be three judges on the show.
