Cupertino Season 1 Episode 3 Preview: Trouble Making Exes
Viewers meet the exes on Cupertino Season 1 Episode 3, “Juno.”
First, the episode introduces Natalia’s ex, Kirk (Fisher Stevens). Viewers heard about Kirk on Cupertino Season 1 Episode 2, “Vik and Bo.” Kirk is the CEO of Colt AI. He left Natalia for a younger woman, and Natalia is out for revenge.
As part of her funding stipulation, Natalia can choose some of the cases Price and Siffre take, mostly to exact revenge on her husband. The first case she chooses involves a mother suing a chatbot company that she thinks led her son to kill his father.
Nothing in the preview material confirms whether this case connects to Natalia’s ex-husband or whether she wants the firm to represent the mother for another reason. However, knowing what we know about Natalia’s motives, it’s not an unreasonable guess.
Another possibility, however, is that Kirk’s introduction on “Juno” has nothing to do with the chatbot case and everything to do with Bo from “Vik and Bo.”
As mentioned, Kirk is the CEO of Colt AI. Colt AI is the company Bo, the whistleblower we met on “Vik and Bo,” wants to sue. The one who claims to be the actual AGI the company developed and who wants to force Colt AI to return the guardrails he (it?) claims they removed.
While the team didn’t seem to believe Bo’s claim on “Vik and Bo,” we might meet Kirk for the first time because there is more to that case than it seems.
Whether Natalia’s ex is connected to the chatbot case or not, the other ex we meet on “Juno” definitely is. Renee Elise Goldsberry makes her series debut as Nichole Ferebee, Michael’s ex who the chatbot company hires in an attempt to rattle him.
Goldsberry will be a major presence this season, and while she enters the series as an adversary, she almost certainly won’t be a straight-up villain like Kirk. We are definitely in for a more complicated arc with her.

Cupertino Season 2 Episode 3 Description
As part of the deal to fund the firm, Natalia asks Michael and Olivia to take over a case to reprsent a distraught mother who believes a companion chatbot is responsible for her son’s patricide. Also, in an attempt to thrown Michael off his game the chatbot company brings in his ex-girlfriend, Nichole, as opposing counsel.
