Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 Episode 10 Preview: A Timey Wimey Finale
We’ve reached the end of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4. The finale, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 Episode 10, “Tomorrow’s Enterprise,” involves time travel and centers on Uhura. Both are reasons to be excited.
Anytime Star Trek plays with the timeline, it’s interesting and usually pretty fun. More often than not, those episodes are season standouts, too. Although in a season that involved puppets, Soap Operas, and black-and-white tributes to Film Noir, there are more than a few memorable moments.
Still, given Star Trek’s long, complicated history and all the variations intertwined, an episode that plays with time is particularly intriguing.
Even better, this episode also focuses on Uhura. Without fail, any episode that focuses on Uhura and any scene with Cecilia Rose Gooding is going to be good.
Uhura is an iconic character who has only gotten more interesting as SNW has expanded her and added depth. And more than that, Rose Gooding is such a brilliant performer. She elevates all of Uhura’s stories and scenes.
I mean, who didn’t love her in the musical episode, or even her scenes on last week’s episode, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 Episode 9, “Once La’An a Time.”
For “Tomorrow’s Enterprise,” we get two versions of Uhura. There is our Uhura, the young one just starting her career in Starfleet, and an older version, presumably towards the end of hers. What’s not to love?
Also, while Nichelle Nichols is no longer with us and we know there can’t be any cameos, the show still seems to be paying tribute to her with Uhura’s excellent hair in the preview images.
