The Bear Season 5 Preview: FX’s Beloved Cooking Drama Prepares for Its Final Service
The time has come to say farewell, chef.
The Bear Season 5 takes off running the morning after Carmy decides to leave the restaurant business for good. Sydney, Sugar, and Richie have just found out that The Bear, the high-end restaurant they’ve built together, has been left to them in the wake of his departure.
It’s a return to the original recipe for the show with new management running the place, and no money to show for it.

The Bear arguably operates at its best when it’s working against the clock. Every second counts after all!
With no money to show for their new venture and Carmy stepping down, the team races to keep the restaurant alive once again. This time, however, Uncle Jimmy’s threat to sell the property is looming over their heads more than ever as costs add up.
Then a severe storm hits Chicago, severely damaging the building.
It all leads to one last service in an attempt to earn the Michelin star Sydney has been chasing and somehow find a way to save Mikey’s legacy from demise before the final call.
The final eight episodes see a revolving door of fan-favorite chefs returning to help in this crusade, including Will Poulter’s Chef Luca, Sarah Ramos’ Jessica, and Andrew Lopez’s Garrett. Jamie Lee Curtis and Jon Bernthal are also expected to return to round out Carmy’s dysfunctional family.

In the trailer, Carmy can be seen working alongside Sydney in the kitchen, suggesting he doesn’t stray far from the stove after stepping down.
But it’s Sydney calling the shots in the kitchen this time around as she dishes out marching orders.
As the team makes plans for their final meal, everyone can be seen wearing the misprinted The Original Berf uniforms Richie saved from his days with Mikey at the sandwich shop. How fitting it will be to see this ensemble return to their roots, slinging beef sandwiches in greasy aprons together.
After the success of the take-out window last season, could The Beef be the thing to keep the restaurant’s legacy alive?
Here’s everything you need to know about this episode, including the air date, cast, promo, and how to watch.

The Bear Season 5 Description
It all boils down to this. The fifth and final season of FX’s The Bear picks up the morning after Sydney Adamu, Richard “Richie” Jerimovich, and Natalie “Sugar” Berzatto discover that Head Chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto has quit the food industry, leaving the restaurant to them. With no money, the threat of a sale and a torrential storm in their way, the new partners must band together with the rest of the team to achieve one last service, hoping they’ll finally earn a Michelin star. Ultimately, they learn that what makes a restaurant “perfect” might not be the food, but the people.
