Elle Season 1 Preview: Legally Blonde Prequel Trades the Courtroom for the Classroom
Before Elle Woods was a powerhouse lawyer taking Harvard Law by storm, she was a teenage girl trying to find her way in the world.
That’s what Prime Video will attempt to explore with Elle Season 1. The prequel sees a sixteen-year-old version of Reese Witherspoon’s famous pink persona uprooted from LA to Seattle in 1995 at the height of her high school reign.
Eaten alive by the moody teenagers of rainy Seattle, Elle struggles to gain her footing in a new world where her cheery attitude and fashion expertise make her an outcast.
Similar to her years at Harvard Law, Elle finds herself in an unrecognizable world and must find her way while winning over her biggest haters with her brilliance.
This time she doesn’t have to contend with snooty lawyers and entitled exes, but she does have to befriend the most daunting people of all — teenagers!
Thankfully, there’s lots of Y2K fashion and angsty grunge to immerse us in this youthful 1990s series.
Plus, comedy delights Tom Everett Scott and June Diane Raphael join Lexi Minetree’s Elle as her loving parents, who uprooted her entire life by moving. However, they are eager to help their daughter navigate this new world.
And a little baby Bruiser will be right by her side, matching outfits and all.
