Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 Trailer Sees Dark Knight’s Return, Joker’s Debut, and Gotham’s Destruction
Gotham City is turning itself upside down with all of these new villains, but Batman’s here to save the day. That said, in Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2, does he have what it takes if the city turns against him, too?
Prime Video released the trailer for Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 at Annecy Festival. All ten episodes will be released for fans worldwide as a binge release on Friday, July 31, on Prime Video.
Although Batman managed to put an end to some criminals, including Two Face and Rupert Thorne, Gotham continues to spit more out. DC fans might recognize a few iconic faces that are sure to make an impact.
The Batman: Caped Crusader trailer finds Batman, aka Bruce Wayne, continuing what he does best: protect Gotham City from its criminal underbelly. Not everyone in Gotham trusts their newfound vigilante protector, including those at the GCPD. Then again, they have to deal with so much more this time around.
Some iconic villains from Batman’s rogues gallery make their series debut, including the Riddler, aka Edward Nygma. It appears that the Riddler’s intention to trick Batman at every turn will lead to more bloody chaos. Riddler’s also got a handy assistant, who may either be Query and/or Echo from the comics.
The biggest villain that finally makes his full Batman: Caped Crusader debut is the Joker. The Joker was teased at the end of Batman: Caped Crusader Season 1, where he captured some civilians to test his Joker toxin.
Now, it looks like Joker is confident enough to go head-to-head with the Bat.
Other memorable Batman villains are also appearing in Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2. From the likes of Firefly, Manbat, and more, Gotham is sure to test if Batman can truly take on the heat. He’s got more allies to help him.
Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 will bring back some previous characters, including Harley Quinn, Commissioner Jim Gordon, Barbara Gordon, Renee Montoya, and Lucius Fox. Season 2 introduces Carrie Kelley as Batman’s Robin.
The main cast includes Hamish Linklater, Jason Watkins, Krystal Joy Brown, Eric Morgan Stuart, Michelle C. Bonilla, John DiMaggio, Jamie Chung, Juliet Donenfeld, Cedric Yarbrough, Gary Anthony Williams, and Bumper Robinson.
Batman: Caped Crusader is executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, and Bruce Timm. James Tucker, Geoffrey Thorne, Sarah Geismer, Rachel Rusch Rich, and Sam Register also executive produce.
