What to Expect from Chicago P.D. Season 13 Episode 14: Meant to Be

Chicago P.D., Previews

Chicago P.D. Season 13 Episode 14, “Meant to Be,” continues its one-character-focused formula and brings Kim Burgess to the spotlight. Everyone knows Burgess is the kind of detective who works by the book and always thinks of the victims first. She is dedicated, passionate, and caring in a way that makes her stand out from everyone else we’ve met on the show.

This time around, she is using that compassion and dedication to take a rookie under her wing and provide some guidance. If we are honest, it’s about time Burgess became someone’s mentor. As great as it is to see Voight mentoring incoming officers, we need to see a woman in that role, and one who actually follows the rules and can set a good example.

And, of course, because it’s a Burgess-centric episode, it makes sense that Ruzek is making his long-awaited return this week. Fans who have been missing this duo’s dynamic won’t have to worry anymore, as we will see Adam reclaim his rightful spot in the Intelligence Unit.
