A First Look at ‘Every Year After’ on Prime Video

Prime Video has released first-look photos of Barry’s Bay in its upcoming series Every Year After.

Based on Carley Fortune’s bestselling novel, Every Summer After, the YA series is “told over the course of six years and one week” in “the quintessential lake town.” 

All eight episodes of Every Year After‘s first season will debut on Wednesday, June 10, on the streamer.

Sadie Soverall (Fate: The Winx Saga) and Matt Cornett (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) star as Percy and Sam, “the couple at the center of the love story,” per Prime Video. 

Every Year After also stars Aurora Perrineau (KAOS) as Chantal, Abigail Cowen (Fate: The Winx Saga) as Delilah, Michael Bradway (Chicago Fire) as Charlie, Joseph Chiu (Motorheads) as Jordie, and Elisha Cuthbert (Happy Endings) as Sue.

The casting was announced in July 2025. “I couldn’t be more excited about this fabulous cast! This is an enormously talented group of actors, whose auditions made me laugh, swoon, and cry,” Fortune said, per Variety.

‘I know they’ll have fans of Every Summer After falling in love with their favorite characters all over again,” Fortune added.

This first-look comes after the confirmation that Off Campus, another Prime Video book-to-screen adaptation, would premiere all eight of its debut season’s episodes on Wednesday, May 13. Plus, that series, based on Elle Kennedy’s books, has also been renewed for a second season. 

Every Year After was ordered to series by Prime Video in July 2024. “Every Summer After holds a very special place in my heart and in the hearts of readers all over the world who deeply connect with Sam and Percy’s love story,” Fortune said at the time, per Deadline.

Amy B. Harris will serve as showrunner and executive producer on Every Year After alongside Fortune, Lindsey Liberatore, Amy Rardin, John Stephens, and Grace Gilroy as executive producers.
