9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 12 Preview: Dads and Cads
The 2-hour crossover event with 9-1-1: Nashville kicks off with 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 12, “Dads and Cads.”
The national firefighting games are a thing that exists, and they’re also the thing that takes Buck and Eddie to Nashville, Tennessee.
One of the photos shows Buck giving Eddie a Nashville mug, and it wouldn’t be surprising if that’s Buck trying to bring the news that they’ve been invited to participate in this event to Eddie. Likewise, it’s easy to bet that the photos of Buck, Eddie, and Christopher are of Buck doing the last bit of convincing.
After all, the promo video for “Dads and Cads” — and 9-1-1: Nashville Season 1 Episode 16, “Spirit of the Games” — shows Buck and Eddie interacting with the Nashville team as they help someone who appears to have been injured at a bar.
Meanwhile, this episode will also find Buck and Maddie blindsided by some unexpected news. It’s a real challenge to speculate about what that could be with these promotional materials. Perhaps whatever it is brings Buck (and Eddie, of course) back to Los Angeles after the crossover.
Notably, this isn’t the first crossover between the shows. 9-1-1: Nashville‘s Kimberly Williams-Paisley briefly appeared on 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 3, “The Sky is Falling.”
The rest of the promo video for “Dads and Cads” focuses on Athena and the 118 responding to a call where a car is crushed by more than a few cinder blocks.
