Tis the season for possessions and problematic behavior!
GhostsSeason 5 Episodes 8 and 9, “It’s a Wonderful Christmas Carol: Part 1/It’s a Wonderful Christmas Carol: Part 2,” continue the tradition of the one-hour holiday special.
Part 1 of Ghostmas kicks off with another possession. Despite Sam and Jay’s best efforts to stay far away from exposed wires this year, Thorfinn’s discovery that he can control the Christmas decorations leads to an electrifying outcome.
Given that Sam is in the middle of preparing for a big on-camera interview to promote her book, she’s not too pleased to find out this tradition will continue in spite of her efforts.
Everyone does their best to navigate the chaos of another ghost commandeering a living (and by “their best,” we do mean stand nearby and watching).
But inevitably, things escalate quickly from raiding the fridge to total world domination despite Sam’s best efforts to put an end to their shenanigans.
Part 2 explores the fallout of this year’s possession as Sam is pushed to her breaking point and, in a moment of anger, wishes she could never see ghosts.
As it turns out, Ghosts of Christmas Past and Present are very much a thing in this universe, as Carol returns from heaven to show Sam a version of her present day where she never tripped on that vase.
As Sam soon learns, the spirits are living very different lives without her to help them. She soon has to decide if her sanity is worth giving up everything the ghosts have gained from her powers.
Here’s everything you need to know about this episode, including the air date, cast, promo, and how to watch.
