The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2 Sets Premiere Date on Apple TV
The Last Thing He Told Me, starring and executive produced by Jennifer Garner, will return for its second season next year on Apple TV.
The eight-episode season premieres on Friday, February 20. In it, Garner is joined by returning stars Angourie Rice, David Morse, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
The second season picks up after The Last Thing He Told Me Season 1 Episode 7, “Sanctuary,” which streamed on Apple TV in May 2023.
Coster-Waldau’s Own shows up after years on the run, so Garner’s Hannah and her stepdaughter Bailey (Rice) “find themselves in a race to figure out how to reunite their family before the past catches up to them,” per the season’s logline.
The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2 adds Judy Greer and Rita Wilson to the cast. Sneak peeks of both women’s characters are visible in the first-look photos below.
Author Laura Dave created and adapted The Last Thing He Told Me alongside co-creator Josh Singer. The book, first published in hardcover by Simon & Schuster in 2021, was a No. 1 New York Times bestseller, remained on the list for more than 80 weeks, and sold more than 5 million copies worldwide.
Dave’s highly anticipated sequel, The First Time I Saw Him, will be available on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, ahead of The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2’s premiere.
The second season also stars Augusto Aguilera, Josh Hamilton, Nick Hargrove, Michael Galante, John Noble, Michael Hyatt, and Luke Kirby.
Aaron Zelman joins The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2 as co-showrunner and executive producer. Laura Dave and Josh Singer executive produce the series alongside Garner and Hello Sunshine’s Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter. Daisy von Scherler Mayer and Merri D. Howard also executive produce.
20th Television and Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, a part of Candle Media, produce the show.
Apple TV renewed the series for a second season in March 2024.
