Wicked: One Wonderful Night First-Look Photos Bring Oz to NBC
The Wicked cast is bringing the magic to the small screen on Wicked: One Wonderful Night ahead of Wicked: For Good‘s release in theaters.
The thrillifying two-hour musical special airs on Thursday, November 6, at 8/7c on NBC. It will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
As the first-look photos show, Wicked: For Good stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will take to the Emerald City-inspired set. They will be joined by costars Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, and Marissa Bode.

Wicked: One Wonderful Night is “an unforgettable night of reimagined musical arrangements, cast interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, exclusive surprises, and maybe even a sneak peek at what’s to come in the next chapter of Oz.”
The clips from the special will feature new original songs, written for the upcoming film by composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz.
The event will be Wicked fans’ opportunity to hear songs from the upcoming film for the first time. Filmed at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Wicked: One Wonderful Night will also feature a 37-piece live orchestra led by the award-winning musical director Stephen Oremus.
There will also be dance numbers inspired by the film and reimagined for the special by Christopher Scott, Wicked and Wicked: For Good choreographer.

This news comes on the heels of Scott choreographing the opening number of Dancing with the Stars‘ “Wicked Night.”
During which, Wicked and Wicked: For Good director Jon M. Chu was the guest judge. Chu, Schwartz, and other surprise guests are expected to appear on Wicked: One Wonderful Night.
Ben Winston and Raj Kapoor executive produce the special. Fulwell Entertainment produces. NBC initially announced the celebratory special in July.
Wicked: For Good will be in theaters nationwide on Friday, November 21.
