High Potential Season 2 Episode 3 Review: Eleven Minutes
The plight of the absent father takes center stage. High Potential Season 2 Episode 3, “Eleven Minutes,” explores the bonds between daughters and fathers, even when there is a strain in the relationship.
The main storyline revolves around a mysterious death and organ donations. It leads to a man trying to use his final days as an act of love. It’s a way to provide for his family and atone for his mistakes.
It’s a sad tale. However, it leads to some interesting parallels between this storyline and Ava and Roman.

Season 2 continues the mystery of what happened to Roman, but we’re getting little sprinkles of information. The show uses “Eleven Minutes” to set up a complicated relationship between Ava and Roman for the future.
This also probably confirms that Roman will become a vital character on High Potential at some point. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that we shall see him anytime soon. Potentially, Roman may make his debut mid-season.
It would be somewhat shocking if Roman doesn’t appear until Season 3. We have only had three episodes so far, and the character has been mentioned in all of them. I suspect we’re due for a jaw-dropping reveal at any moment in the next few episodes.
However, the reveal won’t be what fascinates us. The heart of this story may lie in how Roman becomes reintegrated into Morgan’s life. There are residual feelings between them. Therefore, a future love triangle between Roman, Morgan, and maybe Karadec or some other Morgan love interest may be on the horizon.

Ava’s relationship with Roman will have so much weight going forward. This could also alter Morgan and Ava’s relationship and Morgan and Roman’s relationship. The show’s plans may cause some division between Ava and Morgan because of Roman.
How “Eleven Minutes” lays the groundwork for the future of the Roman and Ava dynamic is the heart of this episode. It’s what we care about the most.
Nevertheless, overall, this episode is a bit lackluster. The main story of the week isn’t interesting enough to truly make us care about the results. The case starts interesting, but loses its steam once we learn a little more about the murder.
Additionally, this is another High Potential case that you can kind of predict from the start. However, one of the show’s flaws last season revolved around how the culprits felt lackluster because they seemed a bit out of nowhere.

The show didn’t highlight them enough to care too much, or sometimes even remember them, about the reveal. “Eleven Minutes” follows a similar pattern. However, somehow, the culprit manages to stand out in his few on-screen moments.
It’s subtle but enough to cause us to draw attention to him. This doesn’t seem like an accidental choice. Therefore, credit where credit is due to High Potential for sticking with its pattern of not highlighting the killers too much, but enough for viewers not to feel blindsided by the reveal.
This episode feels like a good compromise of subtle hints but not focusing too much on the person, to where it becomes obvious.
Overall, “Eleven Minutes, won’t make any best of the series’ episode lists, but it starts some groundwork for future potentially important stories.
