Marvel Zombies Trailer Reveals Blade’s Return, Bloody Avengers Fights, and More
If there was any world from Marvel Studios’ What If…? that had to make its return, it would be the iconic zombified universe that had a good run in the comics. Fortunately, with Marvel Zombies, fans are treated to that story once again, but with a more gruesome twist.
Marvel Animation released the trailer for the spin-off series, Marvel Zombies, which is set to release on Wednesday, September 24, on Disney+. Similar to Eyes of Wakanda, the series consists of four episodes.
Additionally, the trailer reveals how bloody the show will get. It is rated TV-MA, which marks the first Marvel animated show to get that rating.

Although, that’s to be expected given the concept of Marvel Zombies. Its synopsis reads, “After the Avengers are overtaken by a zombie plague, a desperate group of survivors discover the key to bringing an end to the super-powered undead, racing across a dystopian landscape and risking life and limb to save their world.”
The show’s world was first featured on What If…? Season 1 Episode 5 “What If… Zombies?!”. On that episode, fans got to see how the zombie virus came to be as well as how a group of survivors, featuring Spider-Man, Bucky Barnes, Okoye, Sharon Carter, Kurt, and Happy Hogan, tried to survive.
It was also teased that a zombified Thanos and his army would soon be invading Earth, changing the timeline from the known events of Avengers: Infinity War.

This main hero line-up was previously unveiled, which included the likes of Yelena Belova, Ms. Marvel (aka Kamala Khan), Shang-Chi, Kate Bishop, and more. The official look at Blade, who’s Moon Knight in this reality, was also revealed and will be voiced by Todd Williams.
Some returning heroes also featured in the trailer include Hudson Thames’ Spider-Man as well as Thor. Although it looks like they may succumb to this universe’s inevitable abominable terrors.
More zombified characters were also showcased, like Namor, Ghost, Abomination, Hawkeye, and more.

Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Tessa Thompson, Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Hailee Steinfeld, Wyatt Russell, Randall Park, Iman Vellani, and Dominique Thorne will return as their respective Marvel characters.
The original Marvel Zombies comic was created by Bryan Andrews and Zeb Wells.
Marvel Zombies is executive produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, Bryan Andrews, and Zeb Wells, and is produced by Danielle Costa, Carrie Wassenaar.
