Caught in the middle of Colum and Dougal’s fight for the title, Ellen must heed her father’s words and learn to manipulate her brothers into making the best decision for her predicament.

What Happened on the Previous Episode?

Previously on Outlander: Blood of my Blood, we met the two starring couples of the series in a two-part premiere. The first episode follows Ellen MacKenzie, the rightful heir to the Lairdship of Red Jacob, who must accept a suitor while her brothers fight for the position.

However, the funeral at Castle Leoch for her father draws all sorts of Scots to the area, including Brian Fraser. After a secret meeting, the two realize that despite their families’ feud, they want to pursue a romantic courtship.

Meanwhile, Julia and Henry begin writing to one another during World War I and soon seal their relationship with a kiss, a ceremony, and a child.

Instead of dying in a fateful car crash while vacationing in Scotland, as Claire always assumed, the couple survives but are separated when they tumble through the stones into 1700s Scotland. Julia is sold to Lord Lovat as a servant, and Henry takes up a position with the wealthy Grant clan to track her down.
